cold idle problem

Post by EITCP »

In my civic EG i got B16A with S200 and when the car is cold i got 10:1 AFR or even richer and when i hit the pedal and let of, the car just dies. But in 2-3 minutes my AFR goes to 12:1 AFR and it won't die again. When the car is hot it runs on 14-15 AFR with no problem.

My cranking fuel trim is 0, my post start fuel adj. is 0, and IAC duty cycle is increased, but the car still stops running when i hit the gas when it is 10:1 AFR. How can i avoid this? S300 has fuel compensation table, Romeditor4 (1.0.9.0.) which i am using has not.

any suggestions?

i have changed and adjusted Idle control valve, etc.

RC650

nothing. the car runs like that from the start.
i have used B16supercharged 440cc injectors starting map and I adjust the size of the injectors from 440 to 650, i also needed to put overal fuel trim to 30%.
The car has also GSR cams and skunk2 70mm throttle body.
but like i said if i leave the car runing on idle (when i start it) for about 2 minutes, the ECT goes to 80-85F and the car idles great on 1300rpm and 12-13:1 AFR. Before that the car idles on 10:1 AFR and at 800rpm. When ECT goes to around 140F the car idles at 850rpm and 14-15 AFR with no problems at all.

I would suggest taking it back to the tuner for some additional tuning. There is no user adjustable temp compensation for an s200.

You'll need to post datalogs and calibations showing the problem.
