prelude base map calibration question

Post by 01_prelude »

Hey I was wondering if anyone knows what engine the prelude base on the default calibration is. As far as I can tell we have all had this problem with the base map calibration for prelude/h22. also does anyone have a base map calibration for the h22a4? I know sleepncb7 has his calibrations on here but everyone else's doesn't seem to be attached any more. I tried sleepncb7 calibration however it feels a little funky and makes a lot of popping noises in exhaust. Thanks for any info anyone can provide

here is the datalog of using sleepncb7 calibrations. It wasnt very long I forgot my phone on me so I didnt want to break down too far away from home. Also was curious if I could get some of my other questions answered. Thanks.

super rich. a 7 second datalog isnt very useful. what exactly is the problem with the prelude calibration in Smanager?

Yeah I figured the log wasn't that good. The stock calibration looks good but it idles real low and eventually dies.. its like around 750 rpms and drops to 350ish.

with the car running and calibration loaded. go to the IDLE tab. drag the LACV duty cycle bar back and forth to see if it helps with the idle. do a datalog running the prelude .kal and post it up.

what size injectors are you running? the smanager provided h22 map is for 440cc injectors.

uhhh stock injectors...I cant remember what size the stock ones are. Its a stock h22a4 with an air intake and catback exhaust. nothing really done. just wanted a base map so I would have one for it and then i could tune from there once i boost.

Load the Smanager provided map for the stock h22 (yes, the one with the 450cc). In the fuel trim settings, change it to 290cc, then you'll have to decrease the whole fuel map till you reach the proper AFR. I did it by highlighting the first 5 columns of the map and decreasing till my IDLE AFR was in the 14's. Then highlight columns 6-10 and decrease (CTRL+D about 4 times) then drive/datalog. That'll get you in the safe field and you oughtta be able to tweak out the rest. The timing graph you'll want to leave alone.

So I finally had some time to do a little more datalogging and maybe someone might be able to let me know about it. Also I never got my question answered on whether or not the "prelude" calibration was for a H22 or the other different motors that we run. Thanks for any information.

The "prelude" calibration under smanager is for the h22. I'm not sure if its for the JDM or USDM ludes though. Its the map i started out with, left the timing as it is and adjusted fuel map a bit.

Is the Prelude.skl calibration any good once the fuelling is sorted?

I'm thinking of giving the same ign settings from the calibration a try in my Neptune RTP? After all, the stock base maps shipped with both boards appear to have identical ignition tables, and I have already compared the Hondata prelude.skl tables with the stock bin file from a 32870-P13-G00 prelude ecu, and found them identical.

What do you think?

I was curious to see if anyone got a chance to look at the second datalog and see if there were any problems with it? I just wanted to make sure the tune was good and I wasnt gonna blow my motor if i did a some harsh runs on it. Any info is appreciated. Thanks
