convert crome map to S300 ?

Post by Breizh »

Hello,
totally new to the world of engine tuning, and an amateur working for his pleasure.
I have had a honda EJ1 with a turbo for more than 10 years, recently I finally had the pleasure of switching to an S300 V3 ECU.
When I started this car, I had done the injection tables with crome, I would like to know if I can convert this old map to use it as a starting point for future improvements.
thank you in advance.
Breizh.

There is no conversion. You can try inputting the ignition values manually and then tune the fuel properly.

ah? only the ignition? I transcribed the ignition and fuel, except that it is too rich in certain phases, it is strangely much less "rough", if I can put it that way.
So I will have to start over?
sorry for the quality of my english, i use google trad, as i lack technical vocabulary regarding ECU reprogramming.
cordially.

Fuel values do not translate well. You will have to return the fueling and may have to make adjustments to the ignition.

Oh ok,

I had a little this feeling when I first started my EJ with the new ECU, because of the values indicated by the wideband.
I also noticed that I could not go below -5 ° on ignition, is this normal?

That is the physical limit of the distributor.

Okay,
so before when I had a value of -6 °, I really only had -5 °?

Cordially.

Do you have any advice for me to create my base map?
Since I will therefore start from the beginning in order to do something clean.
If that helps my setup is:
D16Z6, wiseco low compression pistons,
eagles connecting rods,
440cc low impedance injectors on the resistor box,
turbo garrett GT2860RS,
downpipe in 2.5 inches and rest of the exhaust line in 3 inches,
wastegate tial setting 0.7 bars,
blowoff between turbo and intercooler,
front intercooler large volume.
The car is intended for endurance oriented circuits.

thanks in advance for any advice you could give me.

I would recommend starting with the stock file for that engine, then begin tuning and making changes from there.
