The Hondata thred is mine :(

Do not change mecanical timming.

I had to widen the holes in the dizzy so i could clock it more towards the firewall. Then you manage to time it to 12' degree.

Use the d16z6 base map and you are ok.

The y8 head likes a few degree less timing so you could altert the map slightly.

Have'nt had my car on the dyno yet :(

Going to do it within the nex couple of months, but now the motor is fully built :( so no valid data for a stock y8.

Ok so you put the d16z6 map and set the timing on the map to 12? is that it and then you tune from there? i´m confused because i think the european cars are slight diferent than the american cars.

thanks

Use the z6 map.
Set timming in hondata to 12
And turn dizzy until it lines up with the middel line on the crank when useing a timminglight.

My car is from germany, but every y8 is made in the USA.

Btw i'm from norway

Middel line of the 3 on the crank gear.

Look in any car manual to see it :)
