When I plug in my RE4 cable, the blue box connected to a known good ecu via 4 pin connector, RE4 cable to data log port via com cable, the software does not retrieve the serial number, nor do any lights light up in the box. Is my box bad?

If no lights are lighting up then you either have a bad interface cable, the interface cable is connected improperly, or the ECU is damaged and is no longer powering up correctly. If all those check out then you may have a damaged box.

thanks, i will go back and tripple check continuity on the wires to be sure im not missing anything.
