i apologize if this seems dumb...

how do i set the timing with a hondata ecu? i know for the stock ecu the service connector on the harness needs to be shorted with a jumper and then the IAC needs to be unplugged in order to read the timing properly. is the process the same with the hondata ecu? perhaps i just have to do my best and read it at the engine's warmed-up idle or is there some other method i don't know about.

thanks

If you are referring to the base timing, using the distributor and a timing light, then the process is no different than the OEM ECU.

If you are referring to the ignition maps, then you need the RomEditor software to make changes there.
