Can some one explain the ITB base map please.
I am hav difficulty setting the idle of my jenvey throttle bodies.
I have a CRX uk spec with a B16A1 engine with S300 P28 ECU
The car is running E85 fuel (15% petrol/gasoline 85% ethanol)

My questions are.

1. Why the Map goes 1% to 40% on TPS based tables not 0-100%
2. Why the TPS ranging is set to 1%-99%
3. What Idle speed is set for a ITB set-up
4. How the butterfly idle stop screw is adjusted this may be covered in question 3 however.

Any guidance will be grateful recieved.

With the calibration the tables used for the ITBs have been expanded for more resolution. From Options select 'Show Boost Tables'.

I'm not sure about #3 & #4 - you can either disable the idle valve and use the throttle stop, or adapt the idle valve to bypass the throttle plates using some vacuum line and an acculuator.

ECU for jenvey?

Post by lporter »

I currentley have a B16A1 engine with a S300, P28 ECU with jenvey throttle boddies.

Do you recommend changing to a P30 ECU or another model ECU for use with jenvey throttle boddies due to the lack of a barometric pressure sensor?

If so can I just order an ECU from a hondata dealer and swap the S300 board straight over?

I'm also doing a Jenvey setup at the moment with the S300, B16A1 (for now) do you have any pics etc?

As UK OBD-1 ECU's do not come with baro pressure sensors i sourced a P28 from the US and swapped it over.

I stole parts from a number of ECU's to create one that did everything. If you don't have anyone nearby that is confident doing this would get a USDM P28.

The US ECUs tend to have more features than any other market, depending on the vehicle.
I'm running idle control with a stock IACV, but from your fuel type suggests it is not a street car - you could save youself a lot of time running a fixed idle.

Are you in the UK?
