I have a HUGE DELL 17" that I'd rather not use for Hondata. Is there a brand/model that someone can suggest that may be a couple years old I can use efficiently?
I just want a dedicated laptop for my car, as I will be doing most of the Dyno tuning with it.
what i did was get a cheapish second hand lap top so that way if it get dropped etc from tuning, going to races, going to dyno its not a major expense.
yeah, check e-bay. I picked one up cheap second hand refurbished. IBM Thinkpad, and like above, it's rather cheap and runs hondata just fine. Good luck.

That was my plan too. Just erase everything I don't need, and use it JUST for hondata. The DELL C400 is a nice unit because of the 12" screen and portability. I think a 256ram would be fine......Deciding on a laptop is 100x harder than deciding on a Tuning system!!! too many brands, too many places to buy from!!!

How come I miss all the good deals??? I guess I got scared when I typed in Laptop and got 16,000 found! :P
I ended up with a Gateway 1.6ghz/256ram/40g from Best Buy for $399 on sale!
newwst cheapest thing you can find.
but mainly a laptop 2 years or newer shoudl be ok. it's best if it has USB2 since it will allow for quicker data transfer to and from the ecu.
