Duty cycle/injector duration accuracy

Post by NA2BOOST »

Im curious how these numbers are obtained. They do not seem accurate to me. I have 600cc injectors running 8 psi of boost. According to smanager I'm at 90% duty cycle with injector duration peak of 14.6ms. I'm running 42psi fuel pressure with the vacuum reference at atmosphere. Now originally I thought, maybe it is a fuel pump problem. so I hooked up a pressure gauge to monitor fuel pressure under boost and it is a steady 51psi. When I first started to tune I had to use the overall fuel trim at 30% to get in the ballpark after using the injector sizing. Does that affect the duty cycle calcs? The car runs good, but i'm nervous about that much injector duration.
