S300v3 Bluetooth CAN/OBD syncing with RaceChrono Questions

Post by a_wong614 »

Just wondering if anyone has gotten S300v3 Bluetooth OBD functions to work with RaceChrono? I have been trying to get it to sync/datalog values like my RPMs, Speed, and Temps for track days, but have been unsuccessful in doing so. I have gotten S300 to work with TrackAddict and also TorquePro, but would really want it to work with RaceChrono.

RaceChrono can see and pair with my S300, but it doesn't seem to be receiving any data. Reading the Hondata Bluetooth protocol, it looks like it is based on the ELM327 and RFCOMM https://www.hondata.com/downloads/Bluetooth.pdf

Is there anything different on the bluetooth protocol that I need to make changes on the RaceChrono for it to work? From their documentation they have the following OBD II settings so I am wondering if settings like the Default OBD II Header or if the PIDs are different from the standard OBD protocol. But I am guessing with S300, stuff like RPM, VSS, TPS are converted to standard OBD2 PIDs which is why I wonder if the Default OBDII header might be different so I cannot select any of the available channels. RaceChrono states that their default header uses 0x7DF and does S300 use that as the default header?

Thanks for any assistance.
