Tune resetting

Post by Heyk20 »

Does the Hondata s300 v3 clear its memory if the car battery has been out for a few days? I noticed that when I went to look at my ECU today, everything was seemingly reset to stock. I haven't had any problems in the past with my tune resetting, but I haven't ever had it disconnected from the battery for too long. Here are the things that I have done before I noticed the reset:

Removed R136 and R138
Wired wideband Signal wires from wideband to D10 and A26
Wired wideband sensor and wideband gauge ground to A26

Could this have caused the reset?

I have an update.

When I went to load my tune, I hit "Download from ECU". Is this not the proper way to get the calibration from my ECU? Should I always load the tune from my laptop? Could this be the reason that my tune is "reset"?

S300 window, Calibration Storage tab, Retrieve Calibration button.

The Online -> Download menu should do that same thing but this way I can be sure you're not downloading from the ECU memory.

I have since uploaded a new calibration to the ECU. I will leave my battery out for the next few days and see if I can pull the calibration using the way you suggested. I'll report back here on what happens.
