Flashing red light; A17 staying on
Vehicle:
2000 Civic SiR (EM1)
B18C - rods, cp piston, Comp cams 57200
GTX3071 Gen2
Edlbrock IM
Grams 1000cc Inj
70mm Throttle body
Hondata 4bar Map
Walbro 255
S300 V3 (i dont have me ecu with me but will post serial when i get it back)
Hondata CPR kit (was running perfect)
Had the car running great on a basemap/mild street tune for a while. was waiting for dyno tune so car wasn't drivien very much. One day started idling really rough and surging rpm (very inconsistent and throughout rpm range). Changed IAC - nothing. calibrated tps - nothing, new tps - nothing, new injectors - nothing, new tb - nothing, no vacuum leaks. Even installed new jumper harness and nothing changed. When I disconnect my wideband it smoothens out but still a little rough (d10 or d14) as soon as i connect the wideband the rpm is all over the place, on or off the throttle.
I notice the red light flashing but only when connected to my laptop AND SManager open. I brought my ECU to my installer/tuner and when he tested it this is what he said:
In current ECU "it's acting strange so going to try in another ECU"
In 2nd ECU "It's doing the same thing. it uploads and datalogs but red light blinks and some outputs stay on that should be off, ex A17 stays energized and won't turn off. Something wrong with the s300"
Has this ever happened to anyone and is there any solution?

Re: Flashing red light; A17 staying on
If you are not using on-board datalogging then you should disable it. You do not need this enabled just to datalog form the laptop.
What are the part numbers of the ECUs in question?

Re: Flashing red light; A17 staying on
Thanks for the reply. My ecu is a P06 that was previously converted for VTEC. I’m not sure which ecu my tuner used to test the second time. He still has my ecu and will let him know to disable on board datalogging and see if that makes a difference
Re: Flashing red light; A17 staying on
The ECU you have does not have control of IAB on A17.
Re: Flashing red light; A17 staying on
He said that’s one of the outputs that stays energized amongst a couple others. I’ll try to get more exact details when I speak with him
Re: Flashing red light; A17 staying on
My tuner checked with the on-board datalogging and it’s still the same. Could it be anything else or is it the s300 board itself?

Re: Flashing red light; A17 staying on
The ECU you have does not have control over IAB, you should disconnect the wires to this output.
Re: Flashing red light; A17 staying on
We’ve disconnected A17 but still the same issues. My tuner/installer has put the S300 into other known good ECUs and still getting the same results
Re: Flashing red light; A17 staying on
From Help, About, what is the version of software that you are using?
Re: Flashing red light; A17 staying on
Version 2.7.5.0
Re: Flashing red light; A17 staying on
What ECU part numbers are you testing this with?
Re: Flashing red light; A17 staying on
P06 (converted for VTEC) and P28
Re: Flashing red light; A17 staying on
Those ECU's do not have IAB control.
Re: Flashing red light; A17 staying on
When my tuner tested my ecu A17 was just one of the outputs that was staying energized. When I put my ecu back in my car I disconnected a17 like you said and still nothing has changed. Engine still runs very rough and the red light still flashes when I have it connected to my laptop and SManager is open. Red light stops when I close SManager but engine still runs rough

Are you uploading a calibration to the ECU?
