It looks like there are some bad solder joints for J1 and also for the eeprom. This alone could cause the problems.

Should I just desolder and resolder them? Or do you think the board is damaged? Also what part is the eeprom? Is that the small chip that I soldered in?

The eeprom pins are the 28 pin connector for the male pins. Nothing should be damaged by bad solder joints unless the pads on the board themselves are missing or burned.

Also, it there a way to check if my solder makes a good connection with the board using a multimeter or something?

And thanks for your help so far!

Lastly, what should the order of the lights be on the s300 be if I’m not trying to do on board datalogging. Just so I know what to look for if I repaired the solders correctly.

You can purchase a socket tester through a Hondata dealer.

Don't worry about the lights, as long as it datalogs and uploads and runs correctly.

Ok thank you very much. I’ll update this thread as soon as I can test the unit in my car.

I tested all of the pins that I soldered in for continuity by using a multi meter and found that one pin on the 28 pin section had no continuity. I then attempted to desolder and resolder it. Still no success. My last resort option was to scrape away some of the green insulation on the board in the circuit for that pin and solder a jumper wire to the exposed copper of the circuit. This solved my problem and the S300 is now able to communicate with the ecu and my real time data logging is working well! Now time to solve this intake air temp sensor error code... :/
