S300v3 Will Not Rev past 2500 RPMs

Post by dlc18 »

I am having an issue with S300 not allowing me to rev past 2500 rpms at times. This happens when I start the car without my laptop plugged in. It acts as if it is a rev limit activation bouncing from 1500-2500 RPMs. The lighter the throttle the faster it bounces, and the more throttle is given the slower it will bounce. If I plug my laptop into the ECU with SManager up and turn the ignition off, it seems to do a reset and will rev normally with the throttle.

Grounds are good on engine and trans
Using SManager v2.6.6.0
TPS seems to be calibrated properlly, no other issues
No fault codes stored

Oh, and once I've plugged in SManager and got the revs working properlly, I can unplug my laptop with the car running and the revs continue to work until I turn off the ignition and turn it back on.

Also noticed in Sensors that "REVL" and "IGNC" switch from off to on while the revs are bouncing from 1500 to 2500 rpm. I disabled the full throttle shift and the burnout rev limit, with no resolution.

I thought that I did. There is an attachment of it. Is that not the correct way to upload it?

Are you just doing a test upload?

I don't know what you mean by a test upload. I tried to upload the calibration I am currently running.

I turn the ignition on and press the throttle in which the vehicle bounces from 1500-2500 rpm. I then plug in my laptop with SManager already pulled up with the current calibration, while the vehicle is running. I will then press the arrow key "upload changes to the ECU". This usually does not work, so I will turn the ignition off and back on, then again hit the arrow key to upload changes. Once uploaded, I start the vehicle and it will rev normally. I can then drive the vehicle normally until I shut the engine and ignition off. Then I have to start all over again.

Close the program, reopen it, load the calibration you want to use, turn the key to the on position with the engine not running and upload the calibration.

I am running CPR with this setup. Not sure if that makes a difference. I am also using Parallels that is partitioned on my Mac. It's running Windows XP, but this has never given me an issue in the past.

What is the serial number that is on the s300 board inside the ECU?
