Hondata 4 port boost solenoid
Hondata 4 port boost solenoid
When using a Hondata 4 port boost solenoid what is the recommended Solenoid Frequency for best controlling boost in ranges from 19lbs for a low boost street tune and a high boost 29lbs max boost? Thanks
Re: Hondata 4 port boost solenoid
This varies depending on the setup. You will have to try different frequencies and duty cycles to see what works best for you. This is why it is adjustable.
Re: Hondata 4 port boost solenoid
Thanks so I have it set at 25hz now . I have to redo my boost table because of a faulty wastegate diaphragm so hopefully it works out. Can you explain what the resolution means specifically, I hear alot of people telling me that with a 4 Port I'm losing the resolution I had with my old 3 port. Thanks
Re: Hondata 4 port boost solenoid
I'm not aware of anyone loosing resolution by using a different port.
Re: Hondata 4 port boost solenoid
Yeah that's what was told to me by a few very popular tuners in the Industry, they suggested I use a dual 3 port setup for my single tial V60 for better control
Re: Hondata 4 port boost solenoid
So I should be able to have just as good a control of my wastegate using the hondata 4 port boost solenoid as the 3 port with the added advantage of not having to swap out springs to reach higher boost levels
Re: Hondata 4 port boost solenoid
I don't see any reason why you would have any problems using a 4 port solenoid
Re: Hondata 4 port boost solenoid
Great thanks, so basically trying various frequencies to be able to hit my desired boost levels and keep my datalogs to make sure things are steady
Re: Hondata 4 port boost solenoid
that is correct
