fan over ride switch not working

Post by 98spec »

i have nz new 2000 integra type r which has obd2a ecu factory. iv got a built motor running hondata s300j (p72 jdm ecu) running a boomslang harness obd2a to obd1.

i originally had the same setup on jdm integra type r. couldnt fault any problems. fan override works perfect. when i did a chassis swap from nz new type r which is same a usdm integra. the fan override doesnt work.

iv done the check of ect sensor and wiring. all ok

thermoswitch works fine but at factory temp

iv done a wire comparison compared to jdm to nz new (usdm) wiring

nz new wiring

small plug has got 11 wires
blue plug has 14 wires
bigger plug has 18 wires

jdm type r wiring

small plug 12
blue plug 14
bigger plug has 19 wires

now the conclusion iv come up with is the jdm has extra wires

small plug has extra wire solid green wire with red trace through it ??
bigger plug has solid white with green trace through it??

on my new nz type r.

doesnt have a/c from factory.

now the question is how do i know fix the problem. how is the override activated ?

You will need to wire the FANC output to the fan relay so that it activates it from the ECU.
