S300 upload firmware issue
S300 upload firmware issue
I am having Issues with an S300 unit.
The car has been running on the S300 for a while with no issues. We have fitted a new engine and are trying to re-tune the s300 to suit the new Engine.
I connected usb from ecu to laptop, as normal, turned on ignition.
Started to upload my new base map and it wouldnt upload and showed an error and Smanager crashed.
Closed down smanager, turned off ignition, and the started again.
It is now asking me to update the ECU's firmware, so i Did, exept everytime it does it and i go to upload a new calibratin it wants the firmware uploaded again.
I searched for answers and tried uploading a new calibration as per the search but it does the same thing and wants the firmware updated.
In the S300 Infomation tab i have the following info
Hardware version 2 (green tick)
Ram test failed (red cross)
Datalogging memory test failed(red cross)
Flash memory 16MB (red cross)
Serial Number 53991
Firmware version 1.04
Firmware ok No (rec cross)
Software version 210.22.9 (green tick)
Security
Registered Yes (green tick)
Security password Yes (green tick)
Upload password protected Yes (green tick)
Now, i do not have the password as it was originally tuned by some one else, My customer is not the original owner and the S300 came with the car when he bought it.
Now the car will start, but the CEL is on, and i cant tune the car and am currently strapped to a dyno 40miles from my workshop!!
What can be done and how do i resolve this?
any help appreciated
UK based if that helps.

Re: S300 upload firmware issue
Download and install the beta SManager version from http://www.hondata.com/downloads.html
If it has an upload password, and you don't have the password, then you make not be able to go very far.

Re: S300 upload firmware issue
Ok, I will download that now and try again.
So how do i get around the upload password? surely I am not the first person to be tuning an S300 tha has been tuned by someone else before, Is the password set by the last tuner?
