Thinking of switching from boosted s200 to s300

Post by R.A.T. »

Im thinking of switching my boosted s200 to a s300 and I already have a boost controller on my car.
Can I run the s300 without the s300 boost controller option or is it like the s200 where in order to run boost you have to purchase the boost option?

All s300s come with all options. The boost control the s300 uses is dependant on certain components being installed in the ECU to operate a PWM boost control solenoid.

In other words I would not be able to use the launch control with anti-lag?
If not, will I at least be able to use the launch control without the anti-lag?

For the anti-lag to work will I be able to simply T the vacuum lines into my boost controller? (Im not interested in the boost by gear)

launch control and anti-lag have nothing to do with boost control.

Cool!
Next question:
I have the version4 s200, can I transfer over my calibrations to the s300?
If yes, how?

SManager allows you to open the .bin or .re4 calibration. It will be more than a good starting point, but I think you will still have to do a little retuning.

The S300 has a lot more options and compensation tables than the S200.

As mentioned above by someone else, will I need to retune the car?
