Knock Check

Post by piggybomb »

For some reason, my 2003 RSX type s would knock on 6th gear going highway speed (around 67 mph, 3000-3100 rpm).
This would only happen on a slight incline (not much as it is on the highway).

Can someone take a look at my datalog and check if this is actual knock or this is caused by the oversensitive knock sensor?
The uphill starts at 11:20 and you can see the knock count start to increase.

My RSX has SRI, RBC inake, headers, exhaust catback, with a custom dyno tune from a shop.

Really appreciate your insight and help!

You should try to reduce the timing in that area and see if it goes away.

I gave that a try following this guide (https://www.clubrsx.com/threads/k-pro-h ... ck.233079/) and it seemed to have reduced the amount of knock in that scenario (0 knock on most runs)

Thanks for the help!
