Currently running the k20a2 550cc base map and it ain't worth a chit.. Doesn't seem like the motor has enough power to get into the 7k range and operates like a stock Dmotor...

I've attached a few test pulls and the base map for closed loop and will be troubleshooting the P1259 vtec issue that cropped up after a few pulls

Running SUPER rich.

I took 3% out of the low cam and 5% out of the high cam. Chances are we will need to pull more, but this should be a good 2nd map.

Mucho appreciative....
Both of my tuners are booked solid on dyno for 3 months, they told me it was rich, but knew I'm adding an RBB & bigger TB.... so I could live with it. I'll load the map and do some test pulls tonight, post both 2nd & 3rd pull from 2k tomorrow.

A good tune is surely the best to take to the dyno, plus much more economical.

Ok, here we go.....

I had a strange burnt metal smell and freaked, thinking it was too lean.. pulled all the plugs to look, jacked up and looked for something burnt.

Anyway, no alarm, just a zip tie against tire... I've got 1 single for 2nd gear and 2 for 3rd; busy Sunday for people; and the idling warm-up. Still looking into why it idles up around 2k at first on a warm day.

Is this a stock intake? Your IATs are over 150! This is killing you...

Ohhhhhhh shit..

I still have not drilled a hole for the iat sensor... DOH!!

It's a 'custom' CAI.... till I figure out the final intake choice (PRB vs RBB) and where I can plumb it without obstructing intercooler tubing...etc
'Custom' = a 45 degree mandrel bent piece of tubing connected to the TB with a flexi turbo coupling.. couple socks zip tied over the opening as a filter.

Yeah well you need to fix your IAT issue first and then we can work on tuning.

Yeah... nice catch.

I'll get the sensor into the CAI and get ya some pulls tomorrow.

I was able to get everything drilled & installed tonight.. First pulls were IAT @ 90's, but its jumping up as the car warms up..

I had planned on a vented carbon hood to go along with the turbo setup, but that does nothing for right now.. What would be max value as I play with this for a day or 2??

Woooohooooo... !!
I did feel a slight difference, smoother and didn't have as rough an idle... However, IAT is climbs as I test, still up around 150 and appears to drop when sitting still vs the air swirling from moving.... Looking around salvage yards for something temporary to get air from outside the engine bay, pre engineering something that will work efficiently.

Again, apprec all of your time and courtesy..

Yeah when that IAT is below ~110 it makes a HUGE difference. It looks like a real car!

In addition to your IATs, you are losing a ton of pressure on the top end which I know is killing your power as well.

Both can be seen in the graph below.
