What kind of injectors size was the johnnytune done with? What about with RDX 410cc injectors?

all BASEMAPS strock inj unless noted otherwise. Never tried RDX but heard nothing but great things.

Could prolly run a safe 50 shot SURPRISE with those.

I have a similar setup to the original poster. I am currently running the Toda basemap found in Kpro. Car runs pretty good, but also pretty rich at WOT, 11.8-12.3 . How does the map on page 1 compare to the Toda basemap?
I plan to try it out in a few weeks when I get back in town. I lost to a new 2011 5.0 by a couple cars and need more power. :0

i need some to take a look at this tune and see if they can set it. i installed a set of rdx 410 injectors and im having some cold start problems, it takes several cranks to get it going but after it warms up everything works ok.
mods: k20a3 block, a2 pistons, rods and crank, cc stage 4 clutch kit with light wieght flywheel, k24a2 head with stock cams and skunk2 high comp valves, retianers and springs, rdx 410 injectors, dcrh, costum 3in cai and costum 3in exhoust.
im running the first tune keto posted on this thred so if any one can take a look and let me know.

WOW thats a frankenstein setup! Definitely didnt design the kal for that! Get that EP3 to a tuner, PRONTO!

hey keto i dont know if u still frequent this forum and thread but im going to try out the kal u had on your first post i have a 2002 k20a2 with injen cold air intake, rbc manifold, hondata img, strup shorty header, t1r test pipe no cat, invidia q300 exhaust and some lightweight pullies could you help me with a tune?

I dont know if YOU still frequent this forum but use the kal from this thread. Avoid race header kals. They wont work with the shorty/test pipe combo. And post a log already!

I've been messing around with the Johnny6 kal for over a month. It has some major issues. I know it's just a base map but here are the problems I've had with it.
1. Randomly falls flat on it's face. You punch it at low RPM and the car just stops. Does it randomly.
2. Part throttle surging and bucking when Vtec hits at 4,800 RPM's or anything higher than 4800 at anything but WOT. This happens every time.
3. Take off is slow, loses a massive amount of torque from 2500- 5000.
4. WOT from 5000 to redline works fine.

I think the low RPM ignition values are too high. Something is off with the cam angles. I think the random dead stops are maybe a glitch in the programming when the Kal was saved.

The DC5TypeS02 - i-rh-e-kpro-rbc afperf2 Kal works perfectly! No torque dips! Take off is perfectly smooth in the low rpms till vtec hits! No loss in torque with the RBC! Part throttle works great!
One thing that needs to be changed with this map is the Vtec lower boundary needs to be set like this:
Lower Boundary 4500
Upper Boundary 4800

Thanks again Keto! This map really saved my butt because it's nearly identical to the setup I run!

I'm hoping this Kal works with the K20z1 cams. I'm going to upgrade my A2 cams to the Z1 cams. I know this might be a bit of an argument, but the dynos in my hometown can't seem to get the power out of the Z3 cams like they can with the Z1 cams.

I always liked the z1 cams. Swapped them into my a2 when I had it

That could be why the Johnny6 map is off for me. I have messed with it, it's not the ignition, it's the cam angles that are off on the A2 cams.
