Innovate PSB-1 ground to analog ground?

Post by s2kfinesse »

Hi, I am installing the innovate PSB-1 wideband/boost gauge and would like to know the appropriate place to ground the gauge? I have the yellow analog output from the gauge wired to AN0 to log AFR. Can the ground wire from the gauge be hooked up to the analog ground?

Thank you

No. The o2 sensor heater draws a lot of current and grounding the gauge through the analog ground will damage the KPro and/or ECU.

The analog ground is used if the wideband has an analog output and analog ground, but unfortunately most wideband controllers share the same ground between the o2 sensor. The problem with this is the o2 heater current is massive compared to the analog output current and so the o2 heater will shift the analog voltage around a lot. The best you can do is ground the gauge to the same place as the ECU (intake manifold) and keep the wires as short as possible.

Thank you for the quick reply. I was suspicious of that.
