k series questions for k pro.

Post by JiNx0013 »

looking to see if my ecu is from a auto rsx? 37820-PND-A55. my swap is in a 99 ek, If it is an auto ecu is there a reason why my cluster is now reading 7mph less then what its actually going? never did this before the swap was b series before.
also i wanted to know if i could do the following to it?

switch connector A pin 18 to the digital side of the ecu circuit board to get my vss to work properly. currently reads 3mph all the time. cluster reads 7mph less then actual speed as well.

switch the pins on B7 to B22 to get my reverse lockout to work

The automatic ECU has no control over the cluster as there is no VSS output from the ECU. The cluster is directly controlled by the signal from the vss.

Only the ECU will see the signal if input to the K-Pro board. Ay reading you get on the cluster cannot be changed unless you use an aftermarket speed converter.

That is the only way an automatic ECU can see the VSS signal.
