P1607 ecu internal malfunction
P1607 ecu internal malfunction
hi, i have pra ecu with hondata kpro v3, and i have this error code all the time, no mater what calibration i use, what can be the problem?
Re: P1607 ecu internal malfunction
37820-PRA-E13 ecu with 12395 kpro III r19
Re: P1607 ecu internal malfunction
i know, but i have tried all ecu calibrations and this error code keeps poping up :(
current calibration is for pra ecu, still not good, maybe the problem is that the battery is too far away? can that be the problem? to weak battery or wires?

Re: P1607 ecu internal malfunction
It could be the ECU is damaged, but usually it is from the wrong calibration type. Start with a new PRA calibration and see it you get the same error.
Hondata
Re: P1607 ecu internal malfunction
i have erased ecu, and put the new calibration for PRA ecu, and this code is still there, i will try again, maybe it is ecu damaged, how can i know that? car runs great, everything works ok, except this error code is all the time here, and CEL is on...
Re: P1607 ecu internal malfunction
Post a picture of the inside of the ECU.
Re: P1607 ecu internal malfunction
is this ok? or do i need the photo other side?

Re: P1607 ecu internal malfunction
can the problem be that the key code is removed from the ecu before hondata was installed?
Re: P1607 ecu internal malfunction
What is the huge white glob in the center of the ECU?
What do you mean by the key code was removed?
What do you mean by the key code was removed?
Re: P1607 ecu internal malfunction
i dont know what that is... i think it is replacement for that one little resistor that comes with hondata, but i did not get it, it was lost in package, so we put this bigger with same value.
key code chip, that reads from immobilizer, it was removed from ecu before i had hondata, i could not start the car with this

Re: P1607 ecu internal malfunction
If the chip has been removed, then that is probably the issue and you will need a unmolested ECU.
Re: P1607 ecu internal malfunction
I figured that this might be a problem, to bad, i will drive it like this till i get new ecu...
if i install stock map in this ecu and then remove hondata from it, will it work like before? like a normal ecu?

Re: P1607 ecu internal malfunction
No it will not work like a stock ECU. At this point the ECU is pretty much junk.
Re: P1607 ecu internal malfunction
what do you mean ''at this point''? i dont understand? hondata made this ecu junk now?
i was using it like this 1 year, maybe more, without key code, it was working fine, before i installed hondata in it... it still works fine, but this errore code and cel bothers me.
