Dear all,
I have this issue with reading the VTC in datalog.
The graph reads less that it was actually set in the cam angle tables.
For example right after VTEC in WOT, the VTC is set to 45 degrees but graph is showing only 22 degrees.
Any idea what it can cause this difference in values?
Thanks in advance,
Chris
VTC reading lower than table value
Re: VTC reading lower than table value
Without the calibration and a datalog showing the issue it is hard to speculate on what it might be.
Also more details on the vehicle, engine and parts used would be helpful.

The setup it's a K24A3 bone stock block with K20A2 stock head with 4-2-1 header, 2.5 inch exhaust with one mid muffler and a cat-back, a 76mm intake pipe with pod filter.

Re: VTC reading lower than table value
Try zeroing out the fuel tables in all the High cam tables and see if it is even running on the high cam as it appears that it is only running on the low cam.
Re: VTC reading lower than table value
Dear Spunkster,
Please check the 3 screenshots i have attached from "run1crxfrank.kdl" datalog file.
capture1 - see the values before vtec
capture2 - VTS is activating as the VTEC point is set at 4600 RPM.
capture3 - after crossover, VTS is on and table is switched to the highcam. Also, VTEC is audible and the difference in power is notable.
VTC is set to 45 degrees on highcam but as the RPM raises, the CAMCMD decreases even if the value stays at 45 degrees.
Do you mean zeroing the cam angle high speed table to see if it stays 0 ?
Best regards,
Chris

Re: VTC reading lower than table value
No, try zeroing the fuel tables in the high cam to see if it is actually running on the high cam. If it still runs then that proves it is actually running on the low cam settings as it appears to be in the datalogs.
Re: VTC reading lower than table value
Issue solved : I don't have a clear resolution for this but i went for a data log session and seems that this time it read correctly. The only thing that i have changed in the calibration was the Multiplexer from Normal to Disabled because the engine was swapped in a Del Sol. Don't know for sure if this was the issue but it worked and i did not revert the settings to see if the behavior repeats. Thanks
