CEL question

Hello Hondata staff,
I've recently read on your website, on the K20Z3 reflash info page, that if a check engine light comes on, it will not affect vehicle performance, but rather just emmissions? Would you please clarify on this. Reason I ask is because I've recently had a cel come on when i switched from an Injen sri (which I've had for two years) to an AEM sri. I also had my ecu reflashed by you guys.

That all depends on what the error code is. What is the error code you are getting?

I am not to sure what the error code was, but I took it to my mechanic and he said it was running too rich. I believe that's P0139, I might be mistaken.

P0139 is a secondary O2 sensor slow response. You need to get the actual code to make sure you are not troubleshooting the wrong code.
