hondata and immobilizer problem

Post by mw1978 »

Hi guys and sorry for my english. I live in Poland

My frend ask me for help because his SI FG2 doesn't want to start.
He bought whole hondata ECU.

Today installed in his SI and he couldn't start the angine. On dash board he sow green KEY. After that he back to stock ECU. He was in lokal honda dealer. They pluged honda diagnostic PC to the OBD socket. They told him that this is problem with immobilaiser and they could't fix it because this is USDM civic.
Is posible to fix this problem in another way without Honda dealer.

He told me that his last ECU NUMBERS ARE A04. Hondata ECU has last numbers A05
Is this numbers very important????
Please help.

What is the full stock ECU part number (37805-xxx-xxx)? If the Hondata ECU part number ends in A05, what is the A04 ECU? Lastly, is this a Euro or US car?

Ok, so this is a US car in Poland. The ECU part numbers are compatable. The problem is that you need to match the immobilizer to the ECU, and it seems that the local dealer cannot do this.
