Reflash Check

Post by Jleviste »

Just wanted to see if this ecu was reflashed supposedly it is. It’s a rsx 02-04 ecu on a 05-06 k20z1 I’m planning on upgrading to v4 anyway but I thought I’d check. If the 02-04 ecu is working properly on the k20z1 when I get v4 I won’t need the adapter harness, right?

There is no record of that ECU being reflashed.

An 02-04 ECU does nto work with the 05-06 harness. IF that ECU is running your vehicle then someone has changed the harness and you may have other wiring related issues.

Say if I buy a new tucked wiring harness online for a k20a2, it should work with my k20z1 and it should work with the v4 correct? I’m picking up a v4 today and if it doesn’t work with current harness I’ll get a brand new one.

I would recommend using a factory engine harness. Most problems come from aftermarket harnesses, and you already have some wiring issues.
