Water temperature 169F and air temperature 105F are at least part of the cause. Thanks for the info. I thought that water temperature was pretty normal though. Any clue as to why I would lose 3 deg timing with these temps while Razathorn/Wayne is getting full timing at 190-200 deg coolant and 150 a...

As long as you enable them, save and then reopen them the settings are saved. Indeed. The problem is that people are opening up kmanager to do some tuning, getting an updated kmanager, loading their old calibration from 6 months ago that worked fine, adjusting something like pulling a few degrees o...

I just tried opening a calibration I know had launch control and launch control is simply disabled when I open it. I just installed 1.2.8.0 and tried opening the same calibration again and once again it had no launch control enabled. I opened another N/A calibration from a *long* time ago that had l...

We still have not seen a single datalog or calibration showing the problem. We are still waiting. We need this information to see if it is calibration type specific or just a setting. I had the same issue. My trigger was set to power steering pressure input instead of always on. I didn't change it ...

I'm really concerned about this as well as I've got a few cars scheduled to be tuned, not to mention my own with different water/methanol concentrations. I was out on the hottest day of the year this weekend and I was seeing intake temps of 150+ and coolant temps hanging in the high 190s low 200s bu...

I filled my car with the usual Shell V-Power and Dyno-Tab octane booster combination yesterday. I did a usual "quick" 40 mile drive last night and the knock count was horrendous! I achieved about 900 knock on the drive home as opposed to the usual 100 odd for the same drive. I wonder if t...

With my jrsc rsx, I can hear knock down low, even with a vtec point of 3k (which really helps detonation down low). I've verified it by hooking my knock sensor up to a listening device and it is most certainly detonation. The best course of action I've found is to really richen up the boost columns ...

What would be extra super cool would be if we could setup audio alerts for certain conditions. That way, if you're street tuning, a pair of headphones could let you know if you're lean or knocking.

Determining proper ignition / starting ignition map

When building a motor with custom internals -- for instance, one with higher compression pistons, lower compression pistons, significantly more aggressive cams, or perhaps destroked (in the case of a k24 -> 2.2 liter setup), how do you determine the best place to start for an overall ignition map? I...

It is simple - the ECU has to be wired into the vehicle in the same way as a stock RSX. The ECU gets keep alive power from the coil side of the main relay, so specifically the main relay needs to be wired the same as a RSX. The RSX main relay wiring is different from an EG, DC or EK relay wiring. Y...

Is the resonator a straight through design? If it has louvers, that can be a restriction right there. I've never seen a n/a k20 anything tune out to want 35 degrees after 7500 rpm. It's always 20 - 25, then again, I've never done a cam tune on non oem honda cams. What base map did you start with and...

That datalog has 0.00v for ELD.V always. It looks like the sensor was not hooked up correctly at the time.

You need to be graphing A/F with the right units / min and max values, not ELD.v on the graph. ELD.v is just the input. You don't even have A/F on your graph in the screen shots. when graphing the AF it's stay at 0 Do you have a datalog of this? What is the ELD.V at that time? Realize the settings ...
