Re: SManager software requests

Appreciate the feedback - I'll try closing the graphs. But if Hondata is reading this - I think it'd be much neater to have a button to click to quickly and easily clear the lambda tables. My problem is most of the tracks I go to do not have an internet signal I can connect my laptop to, and my phon...

Re: SManager software requests

Another buggy thing I've been noticing: Scenario 1: With key on (either engine not running or already running...doesn't matter), If I then plug in my laptop with SManager open, no issues with how the car runs, and I can connect and datalog and upload a tune. Scenario 2: Laptop already plugged into t...

Re: SManager software requests

It would be nice if there were some easy way way (button to click) to clear the lambda and delta lambda tables in SManager while connected to the ECU. These tables start populating with data right when you connect to the ECU, even without datalogging. This is very helpful for making quick changes af...

Post your calibration and a datalog showing the cut.

Yep, that's what I was thinking.

What sensor are you using? Never seen one where the plug is able to be plugged in wrong. Have you tried a new sensor?

Re: Closed loop strategy

I always completely de-power the computer before tuning to re-set the long term fuel trim (LTFT) to zero. Then, during tuning, don't allow the ECU to make any fueling correction to LTFT. This ensures zero stays zero.

Re: Switching between Open Loop and Closed Loop with AC Switch

Won't you already have the laptop out at the track? If so, drive around town with it in closed loop (no laptop required), then when you go to the track and plug the laptop in, switch it to open loop. Then, just put it back in closed loop before you leave the track. The closed loop tab does let you a...

OK, here is how mine is set up for Rate of Change:

Re: Can I trust the stock sensor Lambda on stock engine?

Narrowband sensors just tell the computer "you're richer than you're supposed to be" or "you're leaner than you're supposed to be." The ideal narrowband signal is an oscillating high/low signal. Wideband sensors tell the computer what the actual AFR is - it gives the computer a n...

Use the launch control settings to turn up your 2-step boost.

Boost by gear is only for once the car is moving.

Does the basemap you're using have the correct injector size and MAP sensor loaded? What fuel pressure are you running? Which engine / Hondata base map are you using for your engine?

Re: 1200cc injector max out at 350whp

I think you should have more room in your fuel system as well. I ran ID1000's on my D16Z6 (E85 fuel) with the standard pressure Walbro 450 (87 psi max total fuel pressure) and maxed them out (99% duty cycle) around 29 psi of boost and made 401 whp. Set up a camera or get on some rollers and have som...

Re: Nitrous solenoid wiring help needed

If you're going to wire the relay power source directly to the battery, you should use a fuse between the battery and the relay to protect your solenoid. The Hondata diagram is correct. The ECU is grounding pin 85 on the relay, which energizes the coil and closes the switch, then allowing current to...

What is the condition of the harness plug for the TPS? Is it fully intact, with the locking clip? Any chopped wiring anywhere in the engine bay? Check the condition of all your grounds (battery, frame rail, transmission, thermostat housing, valve cover) and make sure they are all clean shiny metal o...
