Re: Need help and TC tuning - H23 VTEC Turbo 400whp

I understand each setup will require tuning of the TC parameters. I'm here on the forum looking for advice on best practices to get the oscillation down.

Question, is it correct that the "Traction Control Rev Limiter" can only have values in increments of 10?

Re: Need help and TC tuning - H23 VTEC Turbo 400whp

Ok, I'll try that. As you can see from the calibration, I'm trying to only use retard and no rev limit for control. If I use rev limit as well the oscillation around the target slip seems to get worse plus you get lots of backfiring. From your experience, what's the least amount of oscillation aroun...

Need help and TC tuning - H23 VTEC Turbo 400whp

I need some help adjusting the TC parameters to get a more smooth control action. A good example of how the system is responding is in the attached datalog (zipped) at about the 7:58 time through 8:01. I am targeting a 6% slip with the dial selection but the TC seems to oscillate and I can feel it w...

Re: Input welcome - TC performance log

For the benefit of others, I have attached here an updated *.tcc file along with my ECU calibration and a datalog in the zip file showing performance. These settings in the *.tcc file seem to work much better; less jerky with correcting slip events.

Re: Input welcome - TC performance log

Forgot to attach *.tcc file associated with the previously posted datalog (datalog is in the *.zip file) and ECU file.

Input welcome - TC performance log

I recently installed the Traction Control unit on my turbo h23 VTEC honda prelude and have attached here a data log. I would appreciate any input folks may have on how the unit is responding to overslip conditions. Everything seems to be working correctly; I can certainly tell the ECU is responding ...

accuracy of drag performance monitoring?

Was curious to hear from people about the accuracy of the 0-60, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile values reported by the mobile app as apart of the performance monitoring function.

Also, to do these calculations is the app simply integrating VSS or rear wheel speed over time?

Re: OBDI P75 - alternative input to D10

Good information thank you. Just to clarify based on what you shared; simply removing R2 and R3 will enable 0-5v input on B6? Installing the 1N4148 diodes is optional?

OBDI P75 - alternative input to D10

I have a OBDI P75 with an s300 v3. I recently ordered the traction control unit and was reading that the D10 input to the ECU is to be used. Currently I am using D10 as my wideband oxygen sensor input. With my P75 can I use one of the other drop down menu options listed under the Traction Control ta...

dying alternator?

I've attached a Hondata datalog showing the voltage during my drive to work this morning (~15min). The datalog shows good voltage for the first 10 mins or so but toward there end there are a few drops down to ~12V. Is this a sign of a dying alternator or something else?

Re: wiring and relays for P75 to enable VTEC and IAB control

The connector to the IAB solenoid has 2 wires and according the Honda Service manual one is power (+) obtained from the ECU power circuit (which has a 15A fuse as apart of that circuit) while the other is a ground (-) normally modulated by the ECU.

Re: wiring and relays for P75 to enable VTEC and IAB control

Is a relay recommended/required when setting up IAB control? This is on an OBDI Prelude where ground(-) is the signal for actuating the IAB. In this case can a wire be directly run from the ECU to the ground wire of the plug on the IAB? Thank you.

Re: wiring and relays for P75 to enable VTEC and IAB control

If you look at the IAB settings on the VTEC tab of parameters you will see all the outputs you can use. Smanager lists more outputs than are indicated as available under the P75 ecu at this link, https://www.hondata.com/techvtecrelaydiagram.html . Does this mean that the P75 does not have any real ...

wiring and relays for P75 to enable VTEC and IAB control

I understand that a P75 with the s300 system can be used to activate VTEC using one of the alternative outputs (A15 ACC, A20 PCS, A12 FANC, A16 ALTC) and an added relay. I have a few questions that hopefully someone can help me answer: 1. Does anyone have a specific relay that would be good to use a...
