Re: Hondata s300 red led flashing fast

I just finished having an issue like this, My red light was flashing and no solid green light at the USB connector, what I found was the main board( Green Honda ECU) needs to be clean of all flux used during the socketing process as voltages will bleed to other connectors and cause very erratic beha...

Re: S300 Base map question

you can use the hondata map, if you haven't changed your injectors, and are running NA(naturally aspirated) also run in closed loop on the stock primary O2 sensor in narrow band mode. Anything else needed for clarification?

Digikey part # female headers!

I was working on the s300 soldering the headers onto the ecu main board, and while handling the S300 bent the 4 pin data log female header, I went to my local electronic store and got some new female headers but they are a touch longer then the ones on the hondata board, and not the same shape insid...

Re: High timing at idle

always set your timing exactly to stock, and use a headset spliced into your knock sensor to detect knock while tuning. if you set your vehicle to 18 degrees and hondata to 16, your already setting yourself up for failure before you've started.

Re: b16a1 with ITR cams, use oem/stock cam gear or Adjustable Cam Gears ?

each engine will be different slightly the only way to know for sure is to measure your engine, refer to this video for help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=up00AC7QcZs

Re: b16a turbo over heating when A/C is on

on your calibration, do you have overheat protection for the radiator fan to turn on when the vehicle temp rises past 192 degrees?

Re: Turbo B16a Overheating only when crusing

can you post your calibration, the only thing i could thing of is that your radiator fan is turning off after your speedometer passes a certain threshold, maybe 30MPH, and if this air speed is too low to sufficiently cool your radiator and you still need the fan on then we need to adjust this in the...

Re: b16a1 with ITR cams, use oem/stock cam gear or Adjustable Cam Gears ?

It is always better to use adjustable cam gears, fine tuning the lift points will change the characteristics of your motor to have a better torque or horsepower curve. I highly recommend doing some research on how changing the degrees of your cam lobes will change the characteristics of your motor.

Re: High timing at idle

have you gone into smanager and set the timing to 16 degrees manually with the pop up window? and adjusted the distributor to prove that your not a tooth off, because it sounds like your off mechanically somewhere, especially if your using a timing light and off 45 degrees, although i don't know how...

Re: ECU map sensor not reading correctly

hey peter I know we've already talked via PM but I thought I would just post this here as well, like I've said in the past you CAN'T just change injectors and set dead times and expect it to work, this is why i said to get everything working on stock injectors first with the stock map before you sta...

Re: Calibration - Vtec engine

When reading the help file it states that oil pressure of your engine at 3000 rpm is enough to enable VTEC as a minimum pressure so I wouldn't advise using 3000rpm as the minimum for your base tuning, set the throttle position for vtec around 1% and then both activation points at 4000 rpm if your cr...

Re: Hot start idle low

have you ever set the idle? Setting the Idle Speed To adjust the idle speed: 1. Warm up the engine. 2. Set the idle speed to 850 rpm and move the duty cycle adjustment to the middle. 3. Unplug the idle Air Control valve. 4. Adjust the bypass screw (flat head screwdriver required) (beside the map sen...

Re: TPS range meant to be set at 0.45v or 0.50v for closed throttle position? (zero % tps)

it's because people assume that you've gone through the software and read all the help files before posting on here, most people don't like to *babysit* new people, personally I RTFM first and read and read and do some more reading before I ask for help, usually the answers are out there sure the an...
