hesitation upon quick transition to full throttle

at a certain spot around 4500 RPM the motor does not transition to full throttle smoothly. There is extreme hesitation. I have tried altering the throttle tip in trim as well as timing. I don't know what other adjustments to make. It is only noticable when going from light throttle to full throttle ...

I put the original sensor back on this evening and calibrated it. So far so good but I will just have to wait and see.

spontaneous jerkiness / roughness under light throttle

Under steady speed / light throttle, motor jerks / bucks for no known reason. I have a Omni power TPS sensor; calibrated via volt meter to spec. Romeditor reads negative numbers, sometimes as low as -9 % when letting off the throttle, but settles at 1% when idling. Could the TPS be the problem? I ha...

I can rule out the ecu as this problem appeared on me last night with my stock computer as well. after going home I checked the map sesnor per the hlms manual. i know that the wiring is short free judging by the voltage. i will test the map sensor with a honda diagnostic computer today wih the stock...

There is something odd occuring at 1:25 What appears to be happening is that the MAP is dropping once the cam switches - from 89 to 38 KPa even though the throttle is wide open still. This is reducing the injector duration and then the engine is not making enough power to keep running. Check cam ti...

I tried, but the problem is still present. I did adjust vtec engagement points and throttle tip in.... It seems that the easier the transition into vtec (by lower throttle settings) allows it to work. I was able to get a couple more datalogs with the map corresponding to it respectively. Please take...

changing minimum throttle does not seem to help, neither does minimum load.

i saw the afr spike up to 19:1 once in vtec, so i let off abruptly. I am stumped.

When viewing the tables, make sure you tell SManager to Show Boost Tables; I have added in more columns.

VTEC issues. Looking for suggestions for my calibration

The low cam has been completely tuned for fuel. My issue arises once I try to accelerate into VTEC (to datalog some values and tune). It seems as though it is cutting in and out of vtec rather quickly. Taking a look at the datalog, it does not look like the VTP or VTS are turning on. The AFR's do ge...

I actually had a hell of a time finding a dealer that even knew what RE4 was.

Modacar.com is who pulled through for me.

Is the "narrowband" output on the PLX a linear output? Can it be connected to the regular O2 sensor input on the ECu and still function as desired? But varying from 0-1v instead of 0-5v? yes. just disable the o2 heater as stated above. Use the white wire going into the stock O2 input if y...

Did you make sure that onboard datalogging is disabled while datalogging from the computer?

If not, that will **** it up like you are stating.

Please realize that some of us use our notebook computers for more than just playing with Honda ECU's.
Not having antivirus on an internet computer is asking for trouble.

I am on XP as well. It did not pick it up immediately, but as soon as I tried to open SManager the first time it did not like it.
