Re: S300 v1 #0898 solid D1 light
It's an R7 board. I'm not sure if they were copied so I couldn't use your counterfeit fotos to validate. Thanks for your help!

S300 v1 #0898 solid D1 light
Customer brought in his ECU with an S300 v1 board installed for repair. Says the car has a solid cel and runs poorly. Tested the S300 in my own personal ECU which has a V1 board isntalled and working fine but with his board, D1 stays lit solid. Attempts to erase the ECU fails and I cannot upload a c...

Re: Ignition Table & Datalog not the same?
I apologize for not informing you of the SIM and I thought it was a valid test setting the knobs until the sensor readings in the datalog turned "green". I run a speed shop and have been repairing OBD1 ECUs for close to 10 years (since your original Hondata "staged" systems) for my clients and this ...

Re: Ignition Table & Datalog not the same?
The ECU is on a moates engine simulator and the knobs are set into the "green" areas for the sensors. Aside from your observations which are valid for a real engine, would this affect the variance between the display end the datalog? If so, how should I set the knobs on the SIM properly aside from t...

Ignition Table & Datalog not the same?
The ignition advance cell value and datalogging table are not the same. Where are all the compensation areas affecting total timing?

Re: Tuning on an s300 v1 then moving the cal to an s300 v2
Excellent - thank you. Just to validate, a V1 hardware tune will run exactly the same on V2 hardware.

Tuning on an s300 v1 then moving the cal to an s300 v2
If the version of Smanager stays the same, will a calibration created on V1 hardware work on v2 hardware without changes? I was asked this by a client waiting for his v2 board but in the need to tune his car today on v1 hardware and does not want to lose his investment in tuning/dyno time.

Punching Out the USB Hole
I've been installing several S300's lately and I'm spending too much time punching out the hole with a Dremel (I'm anal about how it looks). Is there anternative/shortcut/better method of preparing the ECU case?

Yes, let's show everyone how helpful you were: "I do not have the value of that part. Since the circuit board would probably need to be replaced, you would be looking at a charge of about $250" Here's is my response: You do not have the value of that part? Why did you ask for the serial number if yo...

Hondata s300 capacitor value
Hi, I just bought a used s300 system from a friend and the surface mount capacitor at position C8 is missing/damaged. Can you tell me the value of this cap so I can replace it? Thanks!

Reverting s300 ECU to ROM Socket
A customer bought a used Hondata P28 ECU with the OBD2a connector off of eBay for close to $300 dollars thinking it included the s300 - he was wrong. Since now he cannot afford an s300 board, he asked me to re-chip it - remove the s300 pins and install a socket. Since I don't have an s300 board to t...
