torn side motor mount fixed. No more random knocking so far.

Still curious about differences between a2 and a3 k sensors.

Everything is secure. It might be the header banging against the sway bar, but i'm not sure.

Also, it doesn't do it over every bump. it's intermittent.

Knocks when going over bumps on the road.

Lately I have been picking up knocks when going over bumps on the road. I have a rebuilt k20a2 with type-r pistons. I'm using the k20a3 knock sensor and a PRB ecu with k-pro. Any idea on the differences between the k20a3 and k20a2 sensor? i.e. is it possible that there is a difference in voltage out...

Josh, this was the code description you told me via phone yesterday.

39-1 p0600 serial comm link malfunction.

also, josh has a k20a2 swap in an eg chassis. Everything on the car was working properly for quite some time and the swap is basically stock - it just has i/h/e.

There are no metrics on the tip in retard. -100% is the minimum amount of tip in retard, +100% is the maximum amount of tip in retard. The exact value for your application is found by testing different values, datalogging and seeing what works the best. Throttle tip in retard occurs when the thrott...

that and to prevent knocks from too much ignition in a low rpm/high load situation. with a good ignition map you can set everything to -100 and not see any knocks.

Thanks HondataMan. alright - i've played with the values -100 and +100. at +100 i get sputter and i can't really tell any difference with -100, other than the on/off throttle seems jerky like with a race flywheel - not sure this from the -100 setting or just in my head? so i'm not sure why this was...

when tuning, turn off "tables follow cam angle" or else kmanager will wig out. With vtc turned off, the cam angle is -20deg, and k-pro obviously does not have a -20deg cam angle map.

There is a sensor. It is part of the cruise control system from what I remember seeing in the shop manual. I mentioned the sensors in my post already. I'm just wondering if they're visible to the ECU. If not, i'll just have to rig something that uses one of the 3 input pins for the sequential shift...

Engine cut during shifting.

I'm not sure if this is doable, but would it be possible to wire up the two clutch pedal sensors to the ECU to cut engine power allowing a full throttle shift with minimal transmission stress? there is a clutch switch that tells the car when the clutch pedal is initially pressed (used to turn off cr...

Just thought i'd post the untuned dyno here to show the difference the VTC makes.

i'd love to be able to have VTC running all the time w/o fear of the cam angle spike!

I'll give the beta version a shot. In order to catch the spike on datalogs, I had to start datalogging from when I started the car. then just start driving normally staying out of vtec in the 2000-3000rpm range. The sound didn't seem to occur if I immediately started full throttle driving. I had no ...

actually, it would be nice to have all cells modified since the last save highlighted a different color, or marked with an asterisk or something.
