That was alot of timing.
If you run the y8 camshaft you must use the y8 cam gear.

Re: d16y8 stock

Use the z6 map.
Set timming in hondata to 12
And turn dizzy until it lines up with the middel line on the crank when useing a timminglight.

My car is from germany, but every y8 is made in the USA.

Btw i'm from norway

Re: d16y8 stock

The Hondata thred is mine :( Do not change mecanical timming. I had to widen the holes in the dizzy so i could clock it more towards the firewall. Then you manage to time it to 12' degree. Use the d16z6 base map and you are ok. The y8 head likes a few degree less timing so you could altert the map s...

Re: d16y8 turbo stock motor map 7psi

have you made this yourself or is it made on a Dyno?

There is some high numbers on the timming that i'm unsure of, but since it is a y8 can be right:)

Only asking sinc3 i do not know. and this is the first d16y8 map i have seen :)

if you have d16y8 cam gear 21,75degree inn hondata is 12 degree on crank.

So use a d16z6 cam gear and you can match timming between hondata and crank.

You heat problem is because of you timming is wrong.

I never got any help in here with my D16y8. But this i have found out.

Put a d16z6 cam gear on your motor and start basetimming between 12-16 degree. Because if you are running obd2/d16y8 gam gear it will mess up you mind. 12 degree on the timming light is 21,75degree inn hondata.

Basemap for D16y8?

I have a bonestock D16y8 with mods, but i'm after a stock timming map. Should i take the d16z6 and rais timming up from 16* to 21.5* and use that. Why is there no info on d16y8? They say that it is 12* timming , but to get this on the stock position on d16y8 i have to raise the timing to 21.5*. If i...
