Im directing it manually to program files/romeditor4

I have also tried uninstalling romeditor4 and reinstalling it and it still does the same thing.

I get this message:

"The best driver is already in stalled for this device
windows has determined that driver software for this device is up to date."


When I step back and click the "driver details" button I get this message.

"No driver files are required or have been loaded for this device."

Im trying to run the fix but I keep getting a red lettered message: "Could not find any FTDI devices" My computer does not recognize the USB anymore as a hondata device. Thus I cannot save any files. Any hints for me guys? edit: I wonder if my cable is bad? I get this message when I plug it in now. ...

If you open up the Help section from SManager, type "USB" Into search tab. You should see "Install USB Drivers" on the list. Click that title and there are instructions on how to install them manually there. The old ones have to be un-installed first for this to work.

Was this a known good ecu to begin with? Will the car start on the stock ECU when the Hondata and adapter harness is removed?

Depending on your gear ratio you should set it to the RPM that the engine drops down to when you upshift. The new 8.0 version is still deleting my KManager.exe file. But it is easy to go in and restore it from the virus vault. Still a PITA though.
