Re: Hondata Fuel System Plus - please help with HPFP PID Tuning

Your post shows exactly what I've seen with the new fuel system, but I assure you that with adjustment of the fuel pump settings, you can fix that (provided there's no install errors of the components, that is).

Hondata wrote: Thu Jul 13, 2023 11:13 am We have never recommended disconnecting the AFM. As far as I know it will put the ECU into a backup routine to work around the missing airflow input, which is going to be sub-optimal at best.
It's great to see this reiterated from your account. Thank you.

Re: Throttle closure during WOT

No DTC's related to boost control are disabled unless Richard has done so himself.

Re: TSP Stage 1 Canned Tune for Flashpro - Please advise if The Tune is Safe?

Arnaldo, Please send me an email, and I'm happy to address whatever concerns you have. The MAF scaling is 100% the same as what's included in Hondata's basemaps, which appears to be a little richer than target. I have a MAF scale that should be closer to your needs if you'd like it applied. I'd like...

Re: killing stock spark plugs

Those plugs are fouled; likely from the additive you're using.

Re: Boost pressure issue/ Flashpro

One thing to note, there is some kind of limitation in the AFM setting. It will not let me enter a higher G/S value than 327. This correlates to 4.16 volts, so all the values above 4.16 volts are the same 325 g/s. Shouldn't be an issue as I'm only reading 220 g/s max now at about 15 psi. I don't pl...

Re: FP Manager version 3.1.6.0: P0128 shows up when the DTC is disabled

An email was sent to support@hondata.com on Friday, October 26th that contained four calibrations.

It has been resent just now.

I'd like to add that 2007 RDX also tosses P0128 when the second ECT sensor is disabled.

I see no mention of a fix in 3.1.8.

Should I tell the clients the error is still not addressed?

Calibrations were sent a few days ago, by the way.

Thank you.

FP Manager version 3.1.6.0: P0128 shows up when the DTC is disabled

Hello, I have several clients that have updated calibrations using the 3.1.6.0 software and are receiving the P0128 (Coolant thermostat temperature check) DTC code despite it being disabled in the calibration for many months. I've been explaining to said clients that they do not have a failing therm...

Re: AFR issues

It's likely a misfire related to trying to hang the injector open too long.

The fuel system is too small for a significant amount of ethanol without targeting a leaner mixture.

Re: Speed density fueling

Speed density fueling, stock-sized MAF housings, and the MAP-based WOT determination features are working flawlessly now on a handful of my clients' cars; the transmission's shift characteristics have greatly improved, but as others have mentioned, we are limited by the MAF's P0103 code. It is indee...
