Re: FlashPro V1.7.0

Any specifics on tweaks/fixes for RDX? Or should I just go exploring for myself?

Re: RDX Testing

Here's another log, this one with the stock kil/retard values in place. Similar amount of boost. Ignition responds as you would expect. So I know it's not the ECU hitting a failsafe on the amount of boost. The car really scoots with this much boost on the low end.

Re: RDX Testing

Something is up with the knock logic. If I tune against MBT and raise KIL to eliminate static knock retard, it doesn't work properly. Even though the Ignition Limit goes up in sensors, at high boost, the ECU kicks over to some weird static retard state. It goes to -8 to -10 degrees ignition and the ...

Re: RDX Testing

Another issue. When using Sensor Overlay, I can't show the Sensor per Cam Angle since the fuel tables on the RDX aren't cam angle dependent. Maybe add an option to define which base tables the sensor overlay tables are displayed on? So say I'm tuning for knock and I want to show the knock counts via...

Re: RDX Testing

1. The throttle table index should not be editable. 2. Fixed. Boost control probably uses PID so once we master the o2 closed loop PID control we could look at the boost control. We've found no specific tip in retard tables yet. 1) That's what I thought. I was actually suprised that it let me. Eith...

RDX Testing

Went out tuning on my 2012 RDX for the first time tonight. Found a couple bugs in FPM. I will report back as/if I find more. 1) editing TPS indice on TPlate Normal table - comes up as load and wants to use units related to MAP values 2) editing load indice on fuel/ignition/cam/knock tables and incre...

Re: BBG Support

What about using an existing pin that was set for something else. Like if people decided to delete their EVAP solenoid. Could the EVAP output then be used to control a BCS?

Another detail that has a dramatic effect on rev hang for Vit's car.

He has a 9lb flywheel.

Re: FlashPro V1.6.0

I'll chime in here... I've driven Vit's blue Si on the AFM cal. 1) he is correct, on throttle transitions were noticeably smoother. 2) car idled super smooth 3) it did have more rev hang than my KW Si. So while he says it doesn't, I disagree. It definitely did, and it was weird driving a car with re...

Re: FlashPro V1.5.6 (beta)

File naming for datalogs in the flashpro has been screwed up since the beginning of the 1.5.x branch. Names don't save in the flashpro when you change them, and then when you go to save a file out of the flashpro, the filename in the dialog is all wonky.

Re: Flashpro and evap shut valve

The injector scaler uses different ratios in the AFM cals, thus making copy/paste not 1:1. The higher the pulse width, the greater the discrepancy.

Re: Flashpro and evap shut valve

You have not said, but I assume that you were using the race calibration. We do not recommend using race calibrations in street cars. I love you guys, but come on, you know this response is nuts. Everyone uses race cals on the street and has for almost 4 years now. Numerous people have complained a...

Re: Civic SI throttle lag

Indeed it is confusing. The throttle system on our car is quite robust. There is a LOT there that could be tuned. I have been asking Hondata to expose the tables for tuning it for a couple years now to no avail. sigh. That little checkbox is "cool" for a quick fix, but as a tuner, it's jus...

Re: Civic SI throttle lag

Ha ha, is that a joke? How very strange. I guess I will just give up. It seems most people who own these cars disagree with you, VitViper. Maybe we are all just imagining a delay. No, just you. I've drive dozens of these cars at this point, and tuned more of them than you can imagine. There is no t...

Re: Disable Open-Cold static STRIM

I noticed that this static STRIM behaves almost as if it's related to the LTRIM. Which is ironic considering that we don't have LTRIM on the race tunes. It appears that whatever the ECU thinks the LTRIM is when the car is started ... that's what gets assigned to be used during fuel status 1 for the ...
