Fk8 FlashPro compatible with next gen Type R
Are there plans for Hondata to make the fk8 FlashPro work with the upcoming Type R? Obviously this is assuming the ecu is the same/similar to the fk8. I see that the fk2 has its own FlashPro, so I’m guessing it won’t be compatible?

Re: Start in "Comfort" mode?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the challenge with this stuff is Hondata is essentially reverse engineering the factory ECU and ensure it doesn’t break other functionalities. For example, the fk8 ECU has security to prevent unauthorized devices from accessing it. Honda isn’t giving Hondata the ...

Re: 21 Acura TLX 2.0T (Flashpro)
I wonder if there's a bigger engine ECU correlation if you look at where the car was manufactured and possibly share the same parts bin.
S2000 and 1st gen Fits were both made in Japan.

E30 vs E30 (93 + E85)
There are a few gas stations that offer E30. I believe these are 87 mixed with E85 when you pump. How does this E30 compare with E85 that's self mixed (93 + E85) from a knock resistance perspective? In theory, the self mixed (E85 + 93) would offer more knock resistance than straight E30 but has anyo...

Re: Start in "Comfort" mode?
Isn't toggling into comfort mode just a CAN message? If it is, can you just have the FlashPro send the proper CAN message when it detects the engine is on?

FlashPro datalogging
Curious how the FlashPro captures the data when datalogging.
Is the engine data being sent over the can bus and the FlashPro just records the messages? Or is the data being recorded from the engine ECU itself?

Questions regarding Accord 2018+ tuning strategy
Similar to the FK8 ECU, it looks like there's a torque limit table for the 2018+ Accord ECU. In order to allow more timing and boost, you would have to increase these limits. Is that correct? Different from the FK8, there isn't a torque request table. How does the Accord ECU know how much torque to ...

Re: 2019+ RDX tuning
Another question. Do you know if the RDX/Accord are running full time air/fuel closed loop?

2019+ RDX tuning
I’m considering picking up a 2019+ RDX and adding Hondata to it. It looks like there aren’t a lot of people talking about the tuning of this platform, so I have a few questions. Is the engine and transmission basically the same as the 2.0T accord with the 10 speed? If it is, is it safe to assume the...

2019+ flex fuel support
Will the 2019+ RDX eventually receive flex support tables? Is the RDX ECU very similar to the 2.0 DI Accord ECU?

Re: New Traction Control
I think increasing slip % will just reduce the interference with the factory VSA system, but the VSA will engage just as early. I’m not really sure if having the 2 systems running at the same time is good or bad overall. Sorry increasing the slip % is the solution? I’ve been told to reduce torque i...

Re: Ignition ECU logic
What have you guys been seeing as the "sweet spot" in terms of timing vs boost on ethanol and factory fuel pump? Just playing around with the air charge limit numbers. I've reduced the airC limits pretty significantly in order to force the ecu to use the higher timing values. This is on E3...

Re: Ignition ECU logic
So once it calculates the air charge necessary to achieve x torque, it uses the ignition table to apply the defined timing, correct? So in other words, the torque request table is more like a torque limiting table. You set the torque request values high enough so that you can add timing to try to hi...

Re: Ignition ECU logic
So just to make sure I understand this correctly. The ECU looks at your throttle pedal position relative to current RPM. It then looks at the torque request table, for example, 480Nm. The ECU does a calculation to determine the amount of air/boost and timing it will need. Once it knows the air and t...
