Re: Start Up Fuel

Yeah I do have the ID1050X, the dead times are set to what Injector Dynamics provided. I will try that out and see if it helps! Thanks

Start Up Fuel

I'm just wondering why warm start is so lean, if there's something I should adjust in my map. Cold start seems perfect, just warm start is showing high fuel trim. Someone please take a look. Thanks! 2012 Civic Si

Target lambda and fuel trims

Where does the ECU get the "suggested change in fuel" from? Before, I was going by the suggested fuel change from the fuel maps. It was saying everything was good with only around 1-2% in most places. However, the short and long term fuel trims were about -8 to -10%. So I took away about -...

Question about MAP pressure

At wide open throttle, under 6500 rpm the MAP pressure seems good at around -0.4 to -0.9, but every time as soon as it reaches 6500 rpm the pressure decreases to about -1.5 to -2. Does this mean anything, in terms of efficiency, or maybe the tune isn't as good as it can be? I have a 3.75in CAI, stoc...

Re: Running lean on hot startup

I will datalog a cold start and a hot start tomorrow and upload the files.

I'm on E85, so at first I thought that I couldn't use the factory O2 sensors with E85, but now I've just been too lazy to put them back since I have the wideband.

Re: Running lean on hot startup

I don't have O2 sensors, just a wideband gauge. So it doesn't show AFR in the datalogs, but I'm running 14.7 during normal idle. It's only the first minute or so after hot start that it runs lean

Running lean on hot startup

Cranking AFR while hot is good, but then after a few seconds the idle leans out quite a bit.. To around 17-18. It does Not do this during cold start after car has been sitting for few hours..only does it when the engine is still warmed up. I tried adjusting Cranking Fuel Trim on calibration tab and ...

Running rich when battery voltage low

I already know that I need a new alternator since the battery doesn't always charge properly. But is it normal to run rich when the voltage is low? I'm on E85, so normal AFR when idling at 14.5V is 9.7-10. However, when the battery is not charging at idle, and the voltage is around 12.2V, the AFR ri...

VTC tuning without a dyno

I have fuel and ignition tuned for each cam angle, but what would be the best way to tune the VTC angle maps without a dyno? And also, if cam angles aren't optimized, would that cause MAP pressure to decrease and not be near 0. Manifold pressure at full throttle usually shows between -0.7 and -1.4 I...

Re: MAP pressure seems incorrect at WOT

My buddy has a 2015 civic si, and his MAP pressure reaches around -0.3 at high rpm wot. Could the silencer on my car be affecting the pressure that much? Or I was also thinking maybe the cam angle is not optimum? Can anyone tell if my cam angles look good just by reading the datalog?

MAP pressure seems incorrect at WOT

What factors affect MAP pressure at wide open throttle? Looking at my datalog, my MAP reading hangs around -1.1 at high rpm, shouldn't it be closer to 0? Am I losing power since it's not as close to 0? If someone could give me all the factors that affect MAP pressure, I would greatly appreciate it! ...

Quick question about cranking fuel

Can please explain how the ECU uses each of these tables: Cranking Fuel Cranking Fuel Trim Air Temperature Fuel Compensation Cranking Coolant Temperature Compensation How long after cranking does the ECU begin using the main fuel tables. And do the compensations add up? Like if the Air temp and Cool...
