Re: can anyone help me with my AFM

The lower cells are very sensitive and the most difficult to get right.

Re: Just wanted to share a behavior that may or may not be normal- looking for clarification

It isn't an "issue" more so an annoyance when your tracking everything. I have known about it for about a year but its always been there no matter what flash is running on the car and I believe it would be there even with factory map (no way to quickly check afr with tach when returned to stock). It...

Re: can anyone help me with my AFM

The blue line represents the median average of all the little red marks. If it is a strong cluster of a bunch of data points use the line reference. If its sporadic little ones (unless a small cluster are together) then use your best judgement. Essentially the more data points make the blue line mor...

Re: can anyone help me with my AFM

To clarify adjust by percent (ie: +3%). Usually make half the desired change and retest.

Just wanted to share a behavior that may or may not be normal- looking for clarification

I have noticed that the transition from zero throttle input to any throttle momentarily causes the air fuel ratio to hover around 12.5 for a few moments (even the command does this). Is this normal behavior? Is there any thing I could do on my end to alleviate this?

Custom Si tune file for whoever is interested.

Just to offer fellow Hondata Flashpro owners: I am now offering my custom end-user Hondata Flashpro tune file I have developed on my daily driven 2018 Civic Si for those who would be interested. Testing has been being done for +25,000 miles and counting. This is not a "max power tune" . All factory ...

Re: Should we be disabling closed loop when tuning AFM like older vehicles?

Yes. Proceed the same way. When happy with the s trim; re-enable l trim. I am personally going to limit mine to 5% +/-. All this would help with is the tune remaining close to optimal should the oxygen sensor start failing or if an exhaust leak would develop later on. Would not let the trims get com...

Re: Should we be disabling closed loop when tuning AFM like older vehicles?

Basically it keeps the global fueling adjustment for closed loop not functioning while you calibrate the afm table. You would want to dedicate a full day to doing this. Not something I would do right before a commute to work or anything as your limiting the ecu's compensating ability.

Re: Should we be disabling closed loop when tuning AFM like older vehicles?

its under closed loop parameters. limit the long term trim percentage to 0%. I did mine for the last week or so to see what if any effect it had and am about to enable it again. Didnt change much of anything . Just a faster way to calibrate afm when starting from scratch.

Re: Should we be disabling closed loop when tuning AFM like older vehicles?

I would suggest adding this to the help file, would have saved me some time. I had a hunch we should be but got the results I needed anyway, just took me a lot longer.

Re: Should we be disabling closed loop when tuning AFM like older vehicles?

Allow me to rephrase. Should we limit the long term trim percentage to zero?

Should we be disabling closed loop when tuning AFM like older vehicles?

If so by what method? I was under the impression the limits we have available are just the max values before a check engine light occurs. My memory tells me there isnt a disable closed loop check box.

Nice. Unsure how they changed but thanks so much for the quick response that got me taken care of!
