Re: start then stalls, with new software 3.1.1

I had the same issue today. Repeated attempts to upload calibration, even tried using one of the supplied base maps, same result. Start, runs for less than a minute, and turns off.

However, I uninstalled kmanager completely, then reinstalled. Magically, everything worked after that.

The feature works great. I've been able to sort out the knocks I'm getting when the IATs go up. It took 10deg of retard from ignition settings that work fine with IATs up to 80-90, but now even with IATs in the 130+deg range with ECTs in the 200+deg range, the knocks are virtually nonexistent. I did...

1. Yes. 2. No. (or not easily). If the indexes are shared between many other tables then they can't be changed without affecting the other tables. 3. Yes. A positive number retards. Go back one step. What are your IATs? Is your intake getting hot engine bay air? Thanks for the response. I have a cu...

Parameters->Temp Compensation->Ignition Compensation

I was wanting some clarification on these tables. The help file goes into detail about the Fuel Compensation on the Temp Compensation tab, but has no information about the Ignition Compensation. 1) does the same high/low load threshold apply for the Ignition Compensation? In the help file, this is s...

I have a deka etx-14 motorcycle/ATV battery in the trunk. I'm using 4 gauge wire for the positive up to a battery terminal that the stock clamp attaches to. The ground in the rear is to on of the safety thether bolt holes. This is in a 2002 ep3 chassis. In general, I didn't have any battery voltage ...

I figured it was just with the logging. Everything else seems to work fine. Hopefully it will get fixed soon. Cammed k20a3s are becoming quite common now.

No input? I've seen this happen on multiple a3 engines that i've tuned Using the latest version of kmanager, 1.2.3.3. I'm pretty sure this should be reapatable.

K. Thres not active when using EP3 maps?

Just curious if anyone has noticed this before. I have dealt with a couple of cammed k20a3 motors in ep3 chassis recently that had an inactive K. Thres. That is to say, it was always zero on the graph display. K. Level was live. A lot of these cammed k20a3s have ridiculous knock counts and it's toug...

Just thought I'd update with the happy ending. I finally found my electrical gremlin. After checking continuity between all the grounds, checking continuity between each sensor's ground and the chassis, I ruled out the grounding system. I then checked voltage at the battery and at the fusebox. I rea...

I got a chance to mess with the car tonight. All of my grounds were properly connected. I went ahead and cleaned up all the ground connection points with some light grit sandpaper to make sure that they were 100% clean. I removed the passenger side motor mount and bracket from the block. It had sign...

I would check your grounds and possibly faulty wiring. It appears to be correlated to the vtec pressure activating. Good obesrvation. When VTP & VTS go on, things go nuts. Thanks for the advice. For my own benefit, I'm still curious as to how k-pro knows what gear you're in. I'm assuming it's calcu...

It's from electrical noise. Go through the engine swap checklist http://www.hondata.com/techk20swaps.html, particlarly the spark plugs and number of engine grounds. I have a 100% stock engine harness. Never had to change it. I'll double check all of my ground points, the terminals on the VSS itself...

How does k-pro determine what gear you are in?

I was looking at some datalogs tonight and I noticed that my VSS reads all out of whack at times. K-pro sees the wrong gear as well - seeing 6th gear when I'm in 3rd and then 4th. The VSS seems to read correctly during normal driving. I only observe issues during wide open throttle. I have never not...

wait, never mind, I looked in the kmanager help file.

2mb of space, 10 to 110 min depending on datalogging speed. Not bad. Doesn't look like it can be set to operate as a FIFO buffer though. :(

How much memory is available for datalogging? Does the on board datalogging stop once the memory reaches capacity, or does it simply store the last xxx kb of data?

If the logging is continuous, I'd love to have this. My ecu serial is in the 600's though, so looks like $250.
