Re: What exactly is needed in the dizzy after CPR conversion

Thanks for the response, but nothing on my car is 'going back to stock' if I need to diagnose a problem i'll use my spare complete distro. I just need to know what signals the CPR box is interpreting so i can remove the unneeded stuff that has potential to take me out of a race, like it did last wee...

What exactly is needed in the dizzy after CPR conversion

I have run the CPR on my racecar for a couple years now. Obviously i'd pulled the igniter along with the cap and rotor when doing the initial install. Last event I had the magnetic pick up for the CYP pick up snap off and bounce around inside the dizzy the car ran ok, started and drove back on the t...

Tach signal question.

Im doing an install on my racecar and currently figuring out wire routing for my aftermarket tach and mandatory kill switch. The install instruction require the tach signal to be pinned into the plug coming OUT of the dizzy INTO the wiring harness. This set up looks to be looping the tach signal fro...

Re: Grounding Sensors to chassis, 12v to sensors on own circut. Bad idea?

Would you be able to tell me what the part number is for the crimp on wire ends that insert into the plug ends (female) of the sensors. I know that the Dizzy has 2 different sizes but I already have the bigger set as they came with my CPR Kit. Im just looking for the other size wire ends so I can fi...

Re: Grounding Sensors to chassis, 12v to sensors on own circut. Bad idea?

Got it, and thanks for the detailed reply. I'll copy the harness exactly where the OEM pin provisions allow. Would you be able to tell me how many volts the IACV is looking for? Its the only one left that has no where to go for power. Its on a type R intake mani so im assuming its the shorty IACV (i...

Grounding Sensors to chassis, 12v to sensors on own circut. Bad idea?

Looking for an answer about grounding the TPS, AT and ECT sensors... I bought an OBD1 b18 swapped crx with a stripped down harness IE nothing but the sensors to the ECU, no relays or anything like that.. The PO had the MAP, TPS, ET, all grounding at (OBD1) pin D22 then he had TPS, MAP getting power ...

CPR coil pack height question

Just got my CPR in and test fit it before wiring it up on my B18 CRX racecar. Looks like the height of the coil packs I had laying around (Ap1 s2k Denso 0099700-0430) stick up above the valve cover and interfere with closing the hood (which is already spaced up at the rear to clear the motor as is) ...
