Re: Weird immobilizer problem
As far as I know, K20A does not have any immobilizer at the first place... I first got K Pro 6 months ago on my stock PNF ECU. The car ran perfect, I was able to leave the immobilizer on with no problems. I later put a K20A2 cylinder head on my A3 block, ran the K20A2 CAI kal with the immobilizer on...

What is the proper sequence of tuning ? Should I do the ignition first then the fuel ? After I realise I am not going anywhere with my old way of AF tuning, I decided to copy the fuel maps from the k20a2-rsx-310cc-itrcams-jrhdr-cai.kal but retaining my ignition maps. Now I perform several rounds of ...

AFR tuning
Need some input, not sure I got it right ... I have been doing some dataloging during my daily commuting since about 1 week ago. I started out with the base calibration from kpro k20a2-rsx-310cc-itrcams-jrhdr-cai.kal. After sorted out the knocking issue by retarding ignition timing, I started to adj...

KPro info
I have a PRC based Kpro (according to my dealer and the sticker label on the case of the ECU) but when I select online-information in k-manager, I see the type of ECU is PRB. Why ? Does it matter ?

I'm not saying this is the cause of your knock reading, but the only crank pulleys to run are stock Honda or a fluid dampened pulley. I don't think there are any fluid dampened pulleys for the K series yet, but you'll know one where you see one (and by the price). See http://www.fluidampr.com/ The ...

Ignition looks OK, but I see an increase in noise at some points in the rev range (e.g. from 1500 - 2200 rpm). It looks like mechanical noise, not knock. There was a little knock around 3000 rpm at 5:40 Loose valve clearances, a supercharger, non-dampened crank pulleys and loose bolts can cause mec...

Huge knock level at 8200rpm
Hi all, I have been working on the low speed ignition to remove knocking since I got my kpro. This morning, while I am doing a 3k-8.3k full throttle on 3rd gear, I found that everything was well under control, except a huge knock near 4:02 (k level at 4.94V while k thres 3.16V), which is really kind...

No datalog attached, anyhow, it sounds like the car is quite rich from 4000 - 6000 rpm, and a little rich from 6000 rpm up. If VTEC is at 4000 rpm, and you run rich immediately after VTEC, then this is a sign that your exhaust is restrictive. I would aim for 13.0 - 13.4 A/F at full throttle, but it...

Hi all, After several round of dataloging and retarding the ignition, I am more or less removing all the knocking. Now I am waiting for a really warm day to do some final testing. As for the dragging effect I experienced at 4k - 6k rpm, I tried to look in the direction of fuel trim and I follow the ...

K-Pro calibration on JDM K20A
Hi all, I have a JDM DC5R and recently just got myself a K-Pro. I am starting off using calibration k20a2-rsx-310cc-itrcams-jrhdr-cai.cal. I understand that the compression of K20A is higher so I have been trying to retard some ignition base on dataloging I have done during normal commuting. So far ...

91 octane RON+MON/2 is about 96 RON. The K20A has more compression, more cam duration and a better exhaust than the K20A2, which is why it makes more power. In this case, if I am using k-pro, which would be the best map to start from ? How about k20a2-rsx-310cc-itrcams-jrhdr-cai.kal ? Any suggestio...
