B18C5 NEED HELP SELF TUNING
FOR SOME REASON I BELIEVE MY TUNE IS OFF IN MY CAR IN MY 97 INTEGRA TYPE R. I DON'T THINK IT'S GETTING ENOUGH GAS AND THE AIR FUEL RATIO IS OFF. I CAN START IT BY PRESSING THE GAS AND REVING IT, BUT IT WON'T STAY IDLED. I TRIED TO DRIVE IT AND IT RAN LIKE CRAP. I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL MECHANIC AND THEY...

Re: Error Code 8 Top dead center sensor
Well today I push the distributor wires and moved the wires around a little that go into the S300 and did not get an error code. I still think the car is not running right, but need to drive it more to see if anything else has changed with the RPMs jumping. I probably still need to change the timing...

Re: Error Code 8 Top dead center sensor
Thanks for your help that is what I'm trying to do. Is trying to figure out what is causing the error. That and why when I drive does the rpms jump around like they do and I didn't know if that would be a timing belt issue or a distributor issue. Would the timing belt being loose give this error or ...

Re: Error Code 8 Top dead center sensor
Also do you think maybe I had this code before I they fixed whatever wiring issue they fixed before and whatever vacuum leak?
Do I need to reset the error code and see if I get it again?
I did try to reset the error code on the S300 Smanager, but it would not reset it for some reason.

Re: Error Code 8 Top dead center sensor
OK I kind of understand what you are saying now. So I first need to figure out if I have a bad ECU If that is bad then I need to replace the ECU Where do I get a ECU if I need it the dealership? The only ECU units I know are the one that replaces the S300 unit. Even the ones on like Ebay. Check to s...

What ECU are you talking about then?Spunkster wrote:It could be a problem with the ECU itself, not the s300, the distributor, or wiring.

Re: Error Code 8 Top dead center sensor
I don't have another vehicle to test the Hondata S300 ECU on. I guess I'll probably have to take it to a different shop to get worked on and tell them what you told me at least.

Re: Error Code 8 Top dead center sensor
Why would something be wrong with the Hondata S300 ECU or are you talking about something else? Kind of lost?

Error Code 8 Top dead center sensor
I have been having problems with my 97 Acura Integra type R lately. Mostly how it's been idling. First it was idling from neutral on its own from around 1100 rpms to 1800 rpms. I was not pressing the gas it was just doing it on it's own. I didn't think to much of a big deal about it as I thought it ...

Re: CAN YOU PASSWORD PROTECT YOUR CAR FROM STARTING?
Thanks. I know about those, but so do most people who steal cars and still could start the car up and get away. I would think on the next update or if anyone else is a good programmer if it's OK with HONDATA to program a password protect startup of the car. Without the password the car wont start. I...

CAN YOU PASSWORD PROTECT YOUR CAR FROM STARTING?
I was just wondering if there is a way to program your S300 with a password for it to start the car up? This way you would have to enter a password to start the car as a security system to protect your vehicle from being stolen. If not can someone program that in a update please?

VTEC calibrating and Idle calibrating
Ok I had my s300 dyno tuned and they have it set to 6200 on a 97 USDM integra type R and I don't even understand what the inches part mean with the numbers after it. Why would they set it so high or why would it be correct to have it tuned so high and my max rpms is only like 8400. Would it be bad o...

B18C5 DYNOED TUNED PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK
I have my concerns about this tune. They told me there was nothing wrong with it when I called them and that it was setup perfect. I only pulled 161 whp, but I did have something in my exhaust and catalytic converter on and had to use someone else cables I had to use because mine where bad. I still ...
