Re: FlexFuel (E85) system support?

Hi Mike, Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been on the hondata forums for a while. I've just been driving on 100% e85 lol. My tuner convinced me its not worth the flex tune since there is no way to adjust the boost levels with increasing ethanol content. Although even at a fixed boost level, it wo...

boost activation question

another question, i may be overthinking this, but in the "flashpro help" it says to set the activation boost pressure slightly over atmospheric pressure which is 14.7psi at sea level. I want my solenoid to kick in around 5psi of boost. Should I set the boost activation pressure to 5psi or ...

reporting a possible problem

Hi, I'm just reporting something I noticed in the software. In the boost control section, when toggling between the mbar, bar, kpa, psi, kg/cm2 the "psi" value seems to be off. For example when a value of 1 is set for bar, the value of mbar, kpa, and kg/cm2 are consistent however psi shows...

Re: FlexFuel (E85) system support?

Hey guys my tuner attempted to tune my car for flex this past weekend and this is what we found. Not to mention, this was his first time tuning flashpro's flex tables. Setup: continental flex fuel sensor, jun1or's friend's signal converter, wired into ect2 port on the ecu. We set up the signal conve...

Re: FlexFuel (E85) system support?

Anyone have a diagram of the ecu showing where the ect2 pin site is?
Just ordered all my parts, gonna try to wire this up and tune for flex here in the next few weeks. Has anyone tuned for flex on fp here yet?

Re: FlexFuel (E85) system support?

Sorry im terrible with electronics. So the gauge is absolutely need to convert the signal to analog?
So is it like this:
E85 sensor -> gauge -> ecu ect2

Re: FlexFuel (E85) system support?

A visual gauge is optional correct? Wiring in the e85 content sensor (like a continental) directly into the ecu-ect2 port should be enough for flex support and monitoring e-content should be capable on the flashpro software correct?

Great news! Are you able to say if this will be a software or hardware upgrade?

VSA and ABS Question

Okay, so I've read in related threads from the TSX sub-forum that VSA and ABS are not controlled by the ECU; and that they are indeed functioning together. As in if I were to turn off VSA using the button, ABS also turns off. Is this the same for the S2000? Im assuming there is no way to disable VSA...

Re: FlexFuel (E85) system support?

I also wanted to update this. So I've been tuned on full-E85-only now for 6months with no issues. This is not ideal since E85 content can vary, but here in Socal with fairly consistent weather all year the E content from my local gas stations have been very consistent when tested: E80-90 every time....

Re: 4port Hondata Boost Solenoid Overboosting Troubleshoot

Hey just wanted to update this thread. My tuner and i could not get the hondata 4port solenoid to function properly. It was impossible to target anything between 13psi and my cutoff of 19psi as a 1% increase in boost DC would shoot it from 13psi to my boost cutoff. My tuner suggested using a mac 3 p...

Re: 4port Hondata Boost Solenoid Overboosting Troubleshoot

Spring pressure is only 4 or 5lbs. Heres a pic of the plumbing. On the left of the solenoid, top of wg goes to top of solenoid, bottom of wg to bottom of solenoid. On the right of the solenoid, top of solenoid is vented to atmosphere and bottom is to my vacuum block. Manifold wg flange is correct. W...
