Re: Kpro - K24 Idle drop and instability, tried everything....
Go for a little ride, and it starts missing and stumbling severely on throttle tip in. Get back home and it doesn't idle well at all again, hunting up and down. AFR all over the place. Floor it at idle and it will bog down and die. Gently ease into the throttle and it will rev fine. Do a datalog an...

Re: Exocet/KMiata Swap Install Questions
Are pressing F10 first to start datalogging with the ignition ON and Kmanager declaring the ECU as 'online'?
Only then will the sensor data be updated/'live' in the sensor list and any dash templates.
Bye, Arno.

Re: ECU Shutting Down
Could a high or (partial) AC voltage also cause the ECU to cut out? Eg. voltage regulator or rectifier on the alternator developing an issue (often heat and vibration) and sometimes letting the voltage spike or not rectifying the AC completely anymore? Might also be a good idea to let the Kpro (if i...

Re: "Injector Size" value: what table(s) does it NOT affect?
Thanks for the info! Good to know the injector size factor is applied at the last moment and not earlier like some other ECU's do..
That saves a bunch of extra stuff to (re-)check and adjust. :)

"Injector Size" value: what table(s) does it NOT affect?
The KManager help file states that: "Changing the injector size will automatically compensate the fuel tables for the rating of the injector (but not for the specific characteristics of the injector). Also the cranking fuel is compensated based on the injector size." Just curious.. Are the...

Re: High knock count at part throttle after cam install
TODA A3's on K20A2 here (with matching TODA springs and chain tensioner) too and I have always had varying degrees of knock registered around 2500-3500rpm even at very low throttle openings where it really shouldn't even be able to... Tried pulling timing until ridiculous low numbers, marginal to no...

Re: KManager V4.1.0 (beta)
Hi, There seems to be a small bug in the GUI code or .kal parsing in 4.1.0 compared to 4.0.8 as far as I can tell. I use a PRA ECU and calibrations and with 4.1.0 some options in the Parameters section get greyed out and become un-selectable when starting Kmanager and opening an existing KAL. Especi...

Re: aem uego and k pro
Correct. Wideband is for datalogging/tuning only.
Only with the new V4 K-pro can you use an external wideband with a controller for closed-loop running as well.
Bye, Arno.

Re: Long-term fuel trim remains nailed to 0 on PRA ECU?
OK, so the values in the maps of the calibration itself may stop it from updating the long-term fuel trim. Interesting.. At the moment my calibration is pretty spot on as far as fuel on the closed-loop areas goes (withing +/- 2%), so it won't need to trim much anyway. Will play around with this a bi...

Re: Long-term fuel trim remains nailed to 0 on PRA ECU?
Yup.. Constant/battery 12V (via main EFI relay coil) applied to E7. The main relay is actuated when the ECU pulls E7 to ground on detecting (ignition) power on A2/A3. DTC's are also retained across ignition on-off-on cycles. It also retains, for instance, idle valve learned positions as long as you ...

Long-term fuel trim remains nailed to 0 on PRA ECU?
Hi, Just curious if this is something that's simply part of how the PRA ECU works with a Kpro, a display issue or some (minor) bug. Over time I noticed that the short term fuel trim will vary with the lambda sensor feedback (of course the narrowband on the PRA) cycle, but the long-term remains fixed...

Re: Pre-defined calibrations need updating/cleaning?
Thanks! That clears it up. Oh.. BTW.. Seems there's a small boo-boo in the pre-defined k20z1-rsx-2006.kal file: [ECU] Hondata=1 Description=2006 K20Z RSX with cold air intake - dyno tuned ECUType=3 Vehicle=RSXS NumTables=6 NumTables=16 Last 2 lines seem a little at odds with eachother ;) At least in...

Pre-defined calibrations need updating/cleaning?
While browsing some of the pre-defined K20A/K20A2 JDM/EU/USA calibrations in the KManager 3.3.0 download package and comparing them to the actual calibration stored on my computer from my car (EU K20A2, Kmanager 3.3.0) I noticed that they have developed quite some differences. A lot of new features ...

Re: New Motor Idle Help
I cleaned the IACV twice and it is not the cause. Try taking it apart completely and then cleaning and lightly oiling the bearings for the IACV. So far my experience has been that if there's the slightest roughness or feeling of 'catching' on the IACV shutter mechanism then it won't work reliably. ...
