Re: request help reviewing/tuning k20a2
I have the calibration i can let you try out. As far as a separate economy based tune vs performance, the part throttle parameters are just as easily tuned for economy as the WOT for power all within the same map. The closest map i have is from a prior customer, but im not certain what transmission ...

Re: trying to get good fuel economy
You need to keep the fuel centered around 14.7 at part throttle. You can lean out e85 to around 15 at part throttle and still be alright, but i always tune pump gas to 14.7. Stick with overlap of the cams for fuel economy, your setup shouldnt be very inefficient anyways.

Re: Looking for a k24a2 map
You will be able to use the tsx calibration with the 45 degree vtc that comes stock in kmanager. You will need to adjust the gear ratio to suit your transmission. If you have an 05-06 you will be alright and not need to change anything, but the 02-04 rsx has a 4.388 final drive and a different speed...

Re: request help reviewing/tuning k20a2
I agree with spunkster. You shouldnt be messing with the in depth parameters unless you are absolutely positive you know what you're doing. You will end up damaging the motor. Although the training videos are very useful for basic tuning knowledge, they are not enough for you to completely tackle th...

Re: trying to get good fuel economy
Hard to say anything about the datalog without the calibration that was run to pull data. Your fuel curves should be relatively smooth, and the cam angles you use at part throttle play a huge roll in how your fuel economy will turn out. Stock honda cams have almost no valve over lap so 20-30 degrees...

Re: shorty header.s to long obx headers
Use the preloaded map for the k20a2 with itr cams, exhaust, intake and header. Running this map in closed loop should be alright until you can get a proper tune.

Re: Toda I/RH/E Base Map
I wouldn't recommend that calibration, especially if daily driving the vehicle. Use the z1 map and leave closed loop engaged until you get tuned.

Re: K24A2 KPRO A/F HELP
If there is no response there should be an error code for the o2, also make sure you dont have the code override option selected for o2 heater response codes.

Re: Fuel Table Confusion
Average the two fuel ratios. If one column is 12.7 and the next column is 13.5 youll need to remove 4-5% from one column and add 3% to the next. So either add or subtract your average. Most likely the column that is giving a rich/lean reading in comparison to its opposite value in the same rpm index...

I hit him up about tuning it for him. I'll be working with him a little bit in the next few days. I looked on the page and almost every response is from one of us lol

post the map youre using Im helping him out. His primary o2 was bad and he had a daughterboard communication error. He hasnt transferred the ground from the injector harness to the valve cover bolt like kpro recommends to so im hoping that was the issue. I made him a basemap to begin tuning with, j...

Re: Sharing Tuned K24a2 basemap
You're right about it only reaching column 8. Any reasons why that would be? Just curious because I'm getting my car tuned by the same tuner next Friday, the 16th. I'll also be sharing my tune for others to use and would like feedback as well. Nothing to worry about, every car is different. Some re...

Re: Sharing Tuned K24a2 basemap
The car may have only reached to column 8 on map, but they just left columns 9 and 10 the same. Over all looks alright, just odd of them to do that.

Re: Sharing Tuned K24a2 basemap
I should also add, he bought the car this way and had been given a list of the modifications done so the only way to verify what has been done would be to tear it down, something that he is not capable of doing. Right on. I just didnt think it was dyno tuned, and if it was they didnt take very much...
