Re: Easy way to convert from Race calibration to Hybrid Calibration

Perhaps let's ask this another way. Will FPM block me from uploading a race cal to a car? My concern is if I have a tune on a race cal, and switch between tunes (valet tune and regular tune) that are 'race' tunes, will FPM actually prevent me from loading/editing a race tune until I convert to a hyb...

Re: Can you guys check out my Datalog?

Yes, if you're almost stock, Mucters stock tune is a very good basemap.

Re: FlashPro break HDS?

For anyone else who may have this issue. It is true that the HIM does not work with my 2009 Civic Si. I managed to locate a MVCI (works like a GNA600) (a generic/cheap one on eBay) and it does infact work on my Si, even with the hondata flashpro tune on it. Note that I am using the newer 'hybrid tun...

Re: FlashPro break HDS?

Thanks for this post. This is the first useful piece of information I've been able to find about the tool. Lol. Let me try to locate a MVCI

Re: FlashPro break HDS?

thanks for the reply.

Then perhaps the issue is that I am using the HIM to try to connect instead of a MVCI?

Re: Can you guys check out my Datalog?

Also might be worth noting that your ECT2 sensor (your radiator temp sensor) appears to be broken as well. It is all over the place (goes from 30F to 350+F within a few seconds and then back and forth).

Or perhaps the tune you have has it disabled. That could cause this as well.

Re: Can you guys check out my Datalog?

XBlazer, Your oil is probably not the cause of your knocks. Your IATs look to be a tad warm (was it hot outside when you did this datalog?), and heat DOES make you more prone to knock. Your knocks happened under full throttle during your 2nd and 3rd gear pull. Looks like your fuel and ignition need ...

Re: FlashPro break HDS?

Interesting, when I unlocked and attempted to relock my flasher to my car, I got the error (attached file)

Re: FlashPro break HDS?

Interesting. Flashing back to stock did not work either.

Does using the flash pro tool leave any sort of effect on the ECU?

Re: FlashPro break HDS?

It's a 2009 Civic Si Sedan on the newer "hybrid tune".

I'll dig out my FP and flash back to stock to see if it'll connect.

FlashPro break HDS?

Hello, I have a flash pro tune on my 09 FA5, and tried to connect HDS 3.0.12 (Honda diagnostic software) to it via the DLC/OBDII port but the software is unable to connect to the ECU. To do a quick check of the HDS, I verified it works just fine on my wife's accord. Do you know if there are any issu...

Re: FlashPro V1.7.0

Thanks for the feedback. This may not apply to you, but in the last week I have less knock. This is not uncommon at this time of the year as the first batch of winter fuel, around mid November, is horrible, and from there it seems to improve. Ahhh, I hadn't considered that… I'm located in south Tex...

Re: FlashPro V1.7.0

Bravo Hondata! The new throttle control is flawless. Thank you! Now we just need readiness monitor override like the Race cals. ^^ +1 The new throttle control is great. When I uploaded it to my car, I wasn't sure if I uploaded the hybrid or my race cal. Thanks for the fix! Now I can finally stay on...

Re: FlashPro V1.6.1

Figured I'd chime in here. Just switched to the Civic cal/Hybrid map using MAP fuel instead of AFM. The throttle response isn't *quite* as instant as a race tune when letting off the throttle, but it is no where near as bad as stock. I still find this throttle response very smooth and responsive. Th...

Re: Strange O2 issue with the hybrid AFM/MAP tune

Thanks for the input. Didn't notice the error code since it didn't throw a CEL. So my O2 sensor is shot? I have ~80k miles. Also, the O2 sensor had to be extended to fit into the PLM header. Time to buy a new one? It seems to read accurately on the MAP cal lol, no strange spikes, no unusually smooth...
